Additives for fuels and oils comprising functionalised diblock copolymers
Concentrates containing specific functionalised diblock copolymers serve as effective additives for improving the cold flow behaviour of fuels and oils, the copolymers being derived from a terminally-unsaturated intermediate polymer obtained via a metallocene process involving hydrogen.
ASSOCIATIVE POLYMERS AND RELATED COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Described herein are associative polymers capable of controlling one or more physical and/or chemical properties of non--polar compositions and related compositions, methods and systems.
Corrosion inhibitors for fuels and lubricants
The present invention relates to novel uses of corrosion inhibitors in fuels and lubricants.
Copolymers comprising ethylene, vinyl esters and esters of (meth)acrylic acid, their formulations and use as pour point depressant, wax inhibitor and flow enhancer for crude oils
Copolymers comprising ethylene, vinyl esters, in particular vinyl acetate and esters of (meth)acrylic acid, selected from esters comprising branched alkyl, cyclic alkyl or optionally alkyl substituted aryl moieties and having a weight average molecular weight of 35,000 g/mol to 150,000 g/mol, formulations of such copolymers in organic solvents and their use as pour point depressant, wax inhibitor and flow enhancer for crude oils.
Polymer Compositions Allowing Easier Handling
The invention relates to a polymer composition that can be obtained by means of the free radical polymerisation of A) 95-40 wt. % of alkyl (meth)acrylate containing Ai) 20-95 wt. % of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate with 16 to 40 C-atoms in the alcohol group, and Aii) 5-80 wt. % of at least one (meth)acrylic acid ester of a C.sub.8-C.sub.22 alcohol carrying a C.sub.6-C.sub.20 alkyl group in the 2-position relative to the hydroxyl group, in the presence of B) 5-60 wt. % ethylene copolymer. The invention also relates to a method for producing same and to the use of same as a flow improver for mineral oils and mineral oil distillates.
Polymers as additives for fuels and lubricants
The present invention relates to novel uses of corrosion inhibitors in fuels and lubricants.
FUEL OIL COMPOSITIONS WITH IMPROVED COLD FLOW PROPERTIES
The use is described of polymers which contain, in copolymerized form, an -olefin, a vinyl ester and an ester of an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid as an additive for fuel oils and lubricants and in particular as a cold flow improver in fuel oils. In addition, the fuel oils and lubricants additized with these polymers; and also additive packages comprising such polymers are described.
ADDITIVE COMPOSITIONS THAT IMPROVE THE STABILITY AND THE ENGINE PERFORMANCES OF DIESEL FUELS
An additive composition improves the stability and the engine performances of gas oils, including gas oils of the non-road type in compliance with the decree of 10 Dec. 2010. The additive composition includes: at least one metal deactivator or chelating agent, at least one antioxidant of the hindered phenol type (alkylphenol), at least one dispersant and/or detergent, and at least one metal passivator, wherein the composition includes improved properties, in particular relative to the oxidation resistance, storage stability, thermal stability, reduction in fouling of the injectors, reduction in loss of power, reduction in the tendency of filters to clog.
Composition to improve cold flow properties of fuel oils
The present invention describes a composition comprising at least one polyalkyl(meth)acrylate polymer having a number average molecular weight Mn of from 1000 to 10000 g/mol and a polydispersity Mw/Mn of from 1 to 8 and at least one ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer comprising units being derived from at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate having 1 to 30 carbon atoms in the alkyl residue. The composition is useful as cold flow improver in fossil fuel oil and or biodiesel fuel oil.
