Porous surgical implant and method of making same
A surgical implant and a method for the making the surgical implant is provided. The surgical implant includes various granules incorporated into an upper surface and a lower surface of a body portion thereof. The granules can be pressed into the upper surface and the lower surface via physical force using at least one mold portion. The physical force applied by the at least one mold portion can deform and/or extrude the upper surface and the lower surface to impregnate these surfaces with the granules. The granules can provide the implant with bioresorbable and/or mechanically-reinforced properties.
METHODS OF SECURING A FASTENER
Embodiments may include an attachable fastener, which may include a bondable material that may be secured to the end of an end effector. Vibration may be tuned to occur at a distal end of the fastener. Accordingly, the fastener may be used to generate heat at a distal point of contact. If the contact surface contains bondable material, that material may be softened. If the fastener includes bondable material at the point of contact, that material may also be softened by heat produced by vibration at the contact area. A hard implant or another polymeric material may function as the anvil.
POROUS SURGICAL IMPLANT AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME

BONE STRUCTURAL DEVICE
A bone structural device including a plurality of bone structural segments, wherein adjacent bone structural segments are pivotally connected to one another about a pivot axis, and the bone structural segments are expandable in height, which is in a direction generally parallel to the pivot axis.
Method of making a spacer device having a containment body
A method of making a spacer device or a device to be implanted in a human body that includes a containment body and is suitable for treating a bone seat or a joint seat of the human body includes a base portion and side walls that extend from the base portion and that delimit between them at least one cavity, wherein the containment body has a plurality of pores and/or at least one opening, configured to place the at least one internal cavity in communication with the outside of the containment body.
SUPPORT DEVICE AND METHOD
Devices and methods for orthopedic support are disclosed. The device can have a first rigid section hingedly attached to a second rigid section. A tunnel through the bone near the implantation target site can be created. The device can be inserted into and pass through and out of the tunnel to the target site.
FIXATION DEVICE AND METHOD
An implantable orthopedic stability device is disclosed. The device can have a contracted and an expanded configuration. A method of using the device between adjacent facet surfaces for support and/or fixation of either or both of the adjacent vertebrae is also disclosed.
Bone structural device
A bone structural device including a plurality of bone structural segments (40), wherein adjacent bone structural segments (40) are pivotally connected to one another about a pivot axis, and the bone structural segments (40) are expandable in height, which is in a direction generally parallel to the pivot axis.
SUPPORT DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USE
Devices and methods for orthopedic support are disclosed. The device can have a first rigid section hingedly attached to a second rigid section. The device can be curved or rotated around obstructions along an access path to a target site. The device can be delivered to an intervertebral location in a patient.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIP SPACERS
The invention relates to a casting mold for producing a hip joint spacer, which comprises a head element comprising an upper shell and a lower shell, optionally a neck element, and a stem element, which comprises an upper shell and a lower shell, wherein the casting mold has a latching element, and an upper shell and a lower shell of the head element and/or of the stem element can be connected to one another by means of the latching element.
