Patient Transport Apparatus With Linkage For Articulable Footrest
A patient transport apparatus for patients. The patient transport apparatus comprises a litter including a front assembly. The patient transport apparatus further comprises a footrest assembly operatively attached to the front assembly. The footrest assembly includes a footrest deck section and a linkage assembly operatively attached to and extending between the front portion of the front assembly and the footrest assembly to guide movement of the footrest assembly relative to the front assembly between a stowed position and a deployed position.
Patient support apparatus and accessories therefor
A method of securing a pediatric patient to a patient transport apparatus includes providing an adult harness, coupling the adult harness to the patient support and the frame, providing a pediatric restraint assembly, and coupling the pediatric restraint assembly to the adult harness wherein the pediatric restraint assembly moves with the adult harness.
POWERED ROLL-IN COTS HAVING WHEEL ALIGNMENT MECHANISMS
Roll-in cots having wheel alignment mechanisms. According to one embodiment, a roll-in cot includes a support frame, a pair of legs pivotably and slidably coupled to the support frame, and a pair of hinge members that are pivotably coupled to the support frame and to one of the legs. The roll-in cot also includes a wheel linkage pivotably coupled to the pair of legs and a wheel alignment mechanism. The legs and the hinge members pivot relative to one another in a relative angular rotation ratio and the wheel alignment mechanism rotates the wheel alignment mechanism relative to the hinge members at a reduction ratio. The relative angular rotation ratio of the legs and the hinge members is approximately inverse to the reduction ratio of the wheel alignment mechanism.
Restraint system
The embodiments described and claimed herein are a restraint system for securing a wheeled mobility device in a vehicle. In one embodiment, at least one restraint includes a hand-releasable connection to the vehicle. In other embodiments, the hand releasable connection is formed by a set of mounting details, where the mounting details include a headed stud received in a slot. In yet other embodiments, the hand releasable connection can be formed by a spring loaded locking pin that engages with a bore. In even further embodiments, the headed stud and spring loaded locking pin are coupled to the restraint, while the slot and bore are coupled to the floor of the vehicle.
Platform for patient conveying equipment
A platform adapted to be attached to a piece of conveying equipment such as a gurney. The platform includes a base defining a cavity. The platform further includes a coupling receiver mounted on the top of the base. The coupling receiver receives a support structure of the conveying equipment and releasably secures the platform to the conveying equipment. A platform member is slideably received within the cavity and is moveable between extended and non-extended positions.
Dynamic patient positioning system
A patient treatment system includes one or more automated patient transporters configured to move a patient from a preparation area to one of a plurality of alternative treatment areas, and to position the patient relative to a therapeutic radiation beam. Both transportation of the patient and positioning of the patient are optionally performed while the patient is secured to one of the patient transporters. A control system may be used to both position and transport the patient responsive to a patient treatment plan.
STRETCHER
A stretcher has a rectangle-shaped subject placement portion on which a subject is placed and a carrying device carrying the subject placement portion, comprising: a switching part switched to any one of at least two states; and a switching device switching a state of the switching part in accordance with a supplied gas pressure. The at least two states include a state in which the switching part prevents movement of the subject placement portion and a state in which the switching part allows the movement.
Quick release clamp for stretcher carriers and the like
A stretcher clamp mountable on a gurney designed to be quickly opened for inserting a cylindrical stretcher handle and then quickly closed. When closed, the stretcher clamp remains in a closed, locked position regardless of bumps and jolts received when the gurney is moved across rough terrain. When the gurney reaches its destination, the novel stretcher clamps are easily and reliably openable to release the stretcher handle therefrom. Unlike stretcher clamps of the prior art, the stretcher clamp of the invention is not prone to jamming caused by bending or other distortions during transit. The clamp has two major components: an elongated latch handle and an elongated handle retainer, both rotatively mounted in a rigid, U-shaped frame or base. These two components are interconnected by a linkage assembly that is rotatively connected to the elongated latch handle and the elongated handle retainer and positioned therebetween.
