Rescue stretcher
A stretcher including a flexible base panel sized to support a person lying thereon during a rescue or extrication operation. The base panel includes a header end and an opposite footer end, and further includes a plurality of securement straps coupled to the base panel to help restrain the injured person and prevent further injury that may be caused such as by having the person roll off the sides of the stretcher. The disclosure further relates to a method of deploying the stretcher to access and remove an injured person from a confined area to provide treatment.
MULTI-PURPOSE MAT SYSTEM
A multi-purpose mat system includes a mat, the mat having a left side and a right side opposite of the left side; a plurality of loops spacedly formed on the left side and the right side; at least one support frame detachably coupled with the loops, each of the support frame having a plurality of support members detachably coupled with one another to form the support frame; wherein the mat is folded to form a tunnel with the loops being aligned with one another and the support frames being passed through the loops and the tunnel.
TECHNIQUES FOR MITIGATING DOMINANT FREQUENCY IMPARTED TO OBJECT
A spring supported tray for mitigating a dominant frequency imparted thereto is provided. The spring supported tray includes a tray including a topside and underside, and configured to support an object on the topside, and N springs supporting the tray, N being a positive integer. A first end of each of the N springs is disposed at the underside of the tray. A second end of each of the N springs is disposed so as to receive vibrational motion imparted to the second end of each of the N springs f.sub.dom a source of the vibrational motion, the vibrational motion having a dominant undesired frequency f.sub.dom. Each of the N springs has a spring constant k defined by the equation:
where w denotes the collective weight of the tray and the object, g denotes the force of gravity, and f.sub.n denotes a natural frequency of the spring supported tray supporting the object, wherein f.sub.n is a lower frequency than the dominant undesired frequency f.sub.dom.
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY ATTACHABLE TO A PATIENT SUPPORT AND PATIENT SUPPORT HAVING SAME
A support assembly attachable to a patient support is disclosed. The support assembly includes a support unit configured to support one or more devices, and two connector units removably attachable to the patient support. The support unit includes a shelf for supporting one or more devices, two support legs extending downwardly from the support shelf and spaced apart from each other, and two support feet. The two connector units each include a patient support attachment portion removably attachable to the patient support, and a support unit attachment portion removably attachable to the respective support unit. The support unit attachment portion and the respective support foot include inter-engageable elements which can be moved relative to one another to move the support unit between an extended position and a retracted position when the two connector units are attached to the support unit. A patient support assembly is also disclosed.
Patient transport apparatus with controlled auxiliary wheel speed
A patient transport apparatus transports a patient over a floor surface. The patient transport apparatus comprises a base and support wheels coupled to the base. An auxiliary wheel is coupled to the base to influence motion of the patient transport apparatus over the floor surface to assist users. A wheel drive system is operatively coupled to the auxiliary wheel to rotate the auxiliary wheel relative to the base at a rotational speed. A throttle assembly having a throttle operably coupled to the actuator. The throttle is movable in a first position, a second position, and intermediate positions between the first and second positions. The rotational speed of the auxiliary wheel changes in a non-linear manner with respect to movement of the throttle.
Strap for carrying human body
A strap for carrying a human body comprises a plurality of longitudinal fixing straps arranged in parallel and at intervals, a plurality of transverse fixing straps arranged in parallel and at intervals and a plurality of securing pieces. Each longitudinal fixing strap overlaps with each transverse fixing strap, each securing piece respectively connects a longitudinal fixing straps and a transverse fixing straps, two ends of each longitudinal fixing strap are adjustably connected to form a loop, and two ends of each transverse fixing strap adjustably connected to form a loop. The strap further comprises a bearing bed arranged between the longitudinal fixing straps, each transverse fixing strap is superposed on the bearing bed, one side of which is defined as a bearing surface, and the longitudinal fixing strap and the transverse fixing strap to form loops on the bearing surface.
Patient transport apparatus for transporting a patient over disturbances in floor surfaces
A patient transport apparatus for moving a patient from one location to another. The patient transport apparatus comprises a suspension system to limit discomfort to the patient when the patient transport apparatus moves over disturbances in floor surfaces. The suspension system comprises suspension devices such as a spring and/or a damper. The suspension system is operable in an energy-absorbing mode in which the suspension system absorbs energy as wheels move over the disturbances during transport or a lockout mode in which the suspension system is relatively more rigid as compared to the energy-absorbing mode. A control system operates to place the suspension system in one of the modes.
AUTOMATICALLY INFLATABLE PATIENT TRANSFER AIR MATTRESS
Provided is an automatically inflatable patient transfer air mattress designed to enable immobile persons, such as patients with mobility difficulty, to be rapidly laid and transferred thereon in the event of a disaster or an accident, prevent an injury to the patient caused by a falling object dropping from a ceiling or any other place, and reduce impact in the case of movement via stairs. The automatically inflatable patient transfer air mattress includes a main mattress portion forming a plate shape having a predetermined thickness when charged and inflated with air, a protective cover portion provided on one side surface of the main mattress portion in a longitudinal direction, and configured to cover one surface of the main mattress portion when deployed, and a cushion wheel unit disposed on a bottom portion of the main mattress portion to absorb impact from below.
