Personal mobility

A personal mobility may include a body provided with an upper plate portion; a wheel connected to the body to be driven; and a battery provided in the body or the wheel and configured to provide driving energy to the wheel, wherein the mobility is configured to be stored in or drawn out of a vehicle, and the battery is configured to be charged or discharged in association with a high-voltage battery of the vehicle.

Litter lift system

A litter lift system includes a winch and a lifting strap. The winch includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has one end coupled to the rotatable spool and is movable due to rotation of the rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first lifting segment and a second lifting segment positioned away from the end of the lifting strap coupled to the rotatable spool. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to interface with a frame of a litter at first lifting segment and second lifting segment distal ends, wherein a coupling is attached to the first lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a first direction raises the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a second direction different from the first direction lowers the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment.

Remote Release Assembly for a Surface Mount

A surface mount assembly may comprise at least one connector set, including a mount anchor and mount fitting that are configured to lockingly engage, and a remote release assembly for unlocking the two. The surface mount assembly may include a catch to catch the mount fitting as it drops from engagement with the mount anchor. The surface mount assembly may further include a guide member for guiding the mount fitting into engagement with the mount anchor. The surface mount assembly may further include a case mount assembly that is crashworthy, in that it is configured to transfer the loads from cargo contained in the case to the mount fitting, while largely bypassing the case. The surface mount assembly may also include two connector sets, where the remote release assembly is disposed between the two and is configured to simultaneous release each of the two from engagement.

Litter lift system

A litter lift system includes a winch system and a lifting strap. The winch system includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first end, a second end, and an intermediate segment extending away from the lifting strap between the first end and the second end. The first end is coupled to the rotatable spool such that rotation of the spool in a first direction winds the lifting strap about the spool and rotation of the spool in a second direction unwinds the lifting strap from the spool. The second end defines a first lifting segment and the intermediate segment defines a second lifting segment. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to define two separate lifting loops.

Wheelchair loading system

A wheelchair loading system facilitates loading of a wheelchair into a vehicle by the user of the wheelchair without additional assistance from another person. The system includes a rail assembly configured for coupling to a vehicle. A shuttle and a motor are each coupled to the rail assembly to move the shuttle on the rail assembly. A chair mount has a first end couplable to the shuttle and a second end configured for coupling to a wheelchair. The shuttle is positionable at a rearward end of the rail assembly positioning the wheelchair away from the rear door to allow the rear door to be opened while the wheelchair is coupled to the shuttle. A lift is configured for coupling to the vehicle and includes a strap having a free end configured for coupling to the wheelchair for lifting the wheelchair into the vehicle through the rear door.

Loading transfer device

A loading transfer device includes: a carriage adapted for attachment to a lower surface of the rear compartment; a rack to hold the wheelchair or other object; and rotatable linkage means pivotally connecting the rack to the carriage, whereby, as the linkage means is rotated in a substantially continuous forward pivotal motion during a loading cycle, the rack and the wheelchair or other object held thereon are raised from a substantially vertically oriented loading position at the rear of the vehicle in which the rack is adjacent a ground surface rearward of the vehicle to facilitate placement of the wheelchair or other object thereonto, forwardly pivoted through approximately 90, passing through a point of maximum elevation, and lowered and moving forward simultaneously to a substantially horizontal storage position in which the rack is adjacent and substantially parallel to the carriage in the compartment, the cycle being reversible for unloading; wherein when the rack and the chair or other object are in the storage position, the carriage, the rack and the chair can be transported by the vehicle.

Mobility Vehicle Enclosure

A mobility vehicle enclosure (MVE) that is secured to a rear location on an automobile, such as a car, truck or van, and encloses a mobility vehicle during storage or transportation. A first design of the MVE has a structure including an upper surface, a lower surface, a front side wall, a rear side wall and a left side wall. The structure is preferably rectangular shaped, although any shape can be used depending on the requirements of the application. The front side wall is secured to the structure by an upper securing device and at least one hinge that is attached at a lower edge of the front wall and a front edge of the lower surface. The hinge allows the front side wall to be lowered downward to ground level, thereby creating a ramp on which a mobility vehicle enters or exits the structure. A second design of the MVE is similar to the first, except the surfaces and side walls of the structure are all secured together by hinges. By using the hinges, the surfaces and side walls can be folded on top of each other, thereby creating a vertical stack that can be stored in a small space when the MVE is not in use. To assemble the second design, the surfaces and side walls are unfolded, and the final side wall is secured to the initial side wall. The number of side walls used is determined by the required shape of the structure. Both designs also have a MVE to automobile securing apparatus, which is based on a conventional trailer hitch, and a rear light assembly which provides rear light on the MVE when the MVE is in place blocking the automobile's rear lights.

Motorized Mobility Device

A motorized mobility device provides a level of functionality required by users of devices that fall into the complex rehabilitation technology (CRT) category. The motorized mobility device is composed of four component parts that are easily completely detachable from one another. This allows the motorized mobility device to be disassembled so it can be easily transported, and for components of the device to be used independently from one another, in particularly to allow the user to safely and securely travel in an unmodified, widely available commercial vehicle using the LATCH restraint system.

VEHICLE WHEELCHAIR LOADING

A system for a vehicle includes a LIDAR sensor attachable to the vehicle and a puddle lamp fixed relative to the LIDAR sensor and oriented to project a light projection downward beside the vehicle. A computer may be in communication with the LIDAR sensor and the puddle lamp and programmed to actuate the puddle lamp in response to receiving data generated by the LIDAR sensor indicating a user positioned within a threshold distance of the vehicle.
