Power Transfer System With Patient Support Apparatus And Power Transfer Device To Transfer Power To The Patient Support Apparatus
A power transfer system comprises a patient support apparatus and a power transfer device. The power transfer system provides convenience and ease of connection between a power source and the patient support apparatus to provide power to one or more electrically powered devices on the patient support apparatus or to provide energy for an energy storage device on the patient support apparatus.
Ambulance cot platform system
An ambulance cot platform system allows variably raising a cot platform to many different positions to accommodate patients with varying weights. After a cot with a patient is placed on the cot platform, the weight of the patient is determined, and a desired position of multiple defined positions of the cot platform is determined from the patient's weight. The multiple defined positions may be a function of air pressure in air bladders, or the physical location of the platform itself. The air bladders are then inflated or deflated until the desired position of the cot platform is achieved. The result is a cot platform that has different positions to accommodate patients of different weights, thereby providing a ride with comfort that is optimized according to the weight of the patient being transported.
Patient Support Apparatus With Powered Unloading Dynamic Weigh Adjustment
A system for loading a patient transport apparatus into a vehicle is described. The system includes a loading and unloading system including a track and a trolley supporting a receiver movable between locked and unlocked configurations. The system also includes a patient transport apparatus for attachment to the loading and unloading system including a base, a litter, and a lift mechanism to facilitate arranging the litter at different heights relative to the base with an actuator movable between fully-retracted and fully-extended configurations, a coupler for engaging the receiver to secure the patient transport apparatus, first and second sensors configured to output a first signal and second signal and a controller to determine a target lift configuration during unloading from the emergency based on first and second values and to drive the actuator to the target lift configuration to limit relative movement between the patient transport apparatus and the trolley.

POWERED COTS
According to one embodiment, a roll-in cot may include a support frame, a pair of front legs, a pair of back legs, and a cot actuation system. The pair of front legs may be slidingly coupled to the support frame. Each front leg includes at least one front wheel. The pair of back legs may be slidingly coupled to the support frame. Each back leg includes at least one back wheel. The cot actuation system includes a front actuator that moves the front legs and a back actuator that moves the back legs. The front actuator and the back actuator raises or lowers the support frame in tandem. The front actuator raises or lowers the front end of the support frame independently of the back actuator. The back actuator raises or lowers the back end of the support frame independently of the front actuator.
Patient Transport System Including A Patient Transport Apparatus And Loading System For The Same
A patient transport system includes a patient transport apparatus operable by a user for transporting a patient along stairs and a loading system for loading and unloading the patient transport apparatus from a vehicle cargo area. The loading system includes a brace configured to be mounted to the cargo area of the vehicle, a first arm supported for rotation between a stowed state and a deployed state, a second arm coupled to the first arm, and a receptacle coupled to the second arm. The receptacle is configured to receive and support the patient transport apparatus for movement relative to the cargo area of the vehicle as the first arm moves between the stowed state and the deployed state. The loading system further includes a ratchet assembly interposed between the brace and the first arm to selectively permit motion of the first arm between the stowed state and the deployed state.
