Wheelchair wheel winder
A manual wheelchair propulsion device (FIGS. 5, 6 & 7), attached to wheelchairs through the axles of the rear wheels (FIGS. 14, 15, 16 & 17), attached through the wheel winder unit with a quick release head with ball Joint to lock in position (FIGS. 1, 2) to an adaptable socket either manufactured into the axle of the wheelchair wheel or attached rigidly with supports later (FIGS. 14, 15 & 17) with a retractable arm (FIGS. 5 & 6) with eight gears and one neutral (FIGS. 3, 12 & 13) used in a circular motion to manually propel ones self.
Propulsion attachment for a manual wheelchair
This relates to a propulsion attachment for a manual wheelchair and methods of operation. The propulsion attachment can include three wheels, a motor, a gearbox, and a handlebar. The propulsion attachment can attach to the footrest of the wheelchair using a pin. The motor can be located in the rear side of the propulsion attachment and can push the user in a forward direction. Alternatively, the user can manipulate a switch located on the handlebar to allow the propulsion attachment to pull the user in a reverse direction. The propulsion attachment can include a plurality of brakes, where each brake can control one of the wheels. Additionally, the propulsion attachment can operate at variable speeds using the motor and the power from one or both batteries.
Manual wheelchair propulsion system
A propulsion system for a manual wheelchair includes a mounting clamp and a propulsion drive unit having a drive wheel assembly and a support suspension. The support suspension is configured to provide linear movement of the drive wheel and drive hub assembly relative to the manual wheelchair. The support suspension includes a linear bearing and slide member assembly having at least one linear bearing and a slide member for accommodating the linear movement of the drive wheel assembly and further includes a resilient suspension member that provides a tractive effort force to the drive wheel. The drive wheel assembly is supported on a carriage that is attached to one of the at least one linear bearing or the slide member and a mounting block is attached to the other. The mounting block has a clamp interface with a locating tab that engages a corresponding mounting slot in the mounting clamp.

Auxiliary mobility system for a wheelchair
The invention relates to an auxiliary mobility system for a wheelchair, comprising a frame, at least one wheel-bearing part and at least one steering element or handlebar, said bearing part being connected to the frame such that it can rotate concentrically about its axial axis under the action of the steering element. The system also comprises means for rotating the bearing part concentrically in relation to an axis substantially parallel to the rotation axis of the wheel.
WHEELCHAIR POWER-ASSISTED WHEEL
A wheelchair power-assisted wheel is arranged on a wheelchair. The wheelchair power-assisted wheel includes a substrate axially connected with the wheelchair. A power-driven wheel is arranged on a lower surface of a front part of the substrate and touches the ground. A power provider is arranged on an upper surface of a back part of the substrate and electrically connected with the power-driven wheel and provides power to the power-driven wheel whereby the power-driven wheel moves against the ground. The present invention is convenient for a sitter to move on a rough road or to move uphill. The power-driven wheel of the wheelchair power-assisted wheel moves against the ground without idling, so as to improve driving efficiency, which is more helpful in moving the sitter.
MECHANISM AND APPARATUS FOR WHEELCHAIR RECONFIGURATION
Embodiments according to the present invention include a load transitioning mechanism which enables attachment and release of at least one ground-contacting adaptive implement, such as a multi-terrain caster wheel assembly, a motorized wheel, or a ski; embodiments further enable reversible reconfiguration of the wheelchair by a user between a.) an original load-bearing configuration utilizing the conventional forward caster wheels of the wheelchair, and b.) a modified load-bearing configuration utilizing the ground-contacting adaptive implement.
