The polyol component comprises a phosphate functional compound, and at least one polyol selected from polyester, polyether, and the combination thereof; and the isocyanate component comprises isocyanate prepolymer that is the reaction product of at least one isocyanate monomer and at least one polyol selected from polyester, polyether, and the combination thereof.

A system for applying a coating composition to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator is provided herein. The system includes a storage device for storing instructions for performing a matching protocol, and one or more data processors configured to execute the instructions to, receive, by one or more data processors, target image data of a target coating, the target image data generated by an electronic imaging device, and apply the target image data to a matching protocol to generate application instructions. The system further includes a high transfer efficiency applicator defining a nozzle orifice. The high transfer efficiency applicator is configured to expel the coating composition through the nozzle orifice to the substrate to form a coating layer. The high transfer efficiency applicator is configured expel the coating composition based on the application instructions.

Provided is a method for producing an adhesive composition, the method including: a step of obtaining an alcohol-added isocyanate (E) by reacting a trifunctional or higher isocyanate compound (C2) and a monofunctional alcohol (D) at an equivalence ratio of isocyanate groups in the trifunctional or higher isocyanate compound (C2):monofunctional alcohol (D)=100 mol %:25 to 65 mol %, and a step of mixing a polyisocyanate (A) containing a trifunctional or higher isocyanate compound (C1) and the alcohol-added isocyanate (E), and an alcohol (B) having an acid value of 0.5 to 30 mgKOH/g, so that the equivalence ratio between isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate (A) and hydroxyl groups in the alcohol (B) (isocyanate groups/hydroxyl groups) is within a range from 0.7 to 2.5.

What is described is a polymer which is a polyurethane polymer having blocked isocyanate groups or a reaction product of said polyurethane polymer with at least one epoxy resin, where the polyurethane polymer having blocked isocyanate groups is an addition product formed from at least one polyisocyanate and at least one polyester polyol, wherein the isocyanate groups of the addition product have been blocked by reaction with at least one aromatic compound having at least one hydroxyl group. Such a polymer is suitable as an impact modifier in epoxy resin compositions, especially when they are used as adhesives or structural foams. The polymer improves the corrosion resistance and vertical expansion of the epoxy resin composition.
