Gear-shift arrangement for a wheelchair wheel
A wheel assembly comprising a wheel (5) for a wheelchair (1), a gripping ring (6) connected to the wheel, and a gear-shift arrangement (7; 10; 40; 70); the wheel being provided with a wheel axle (17; 47; 77); the gear-shift arrangement being configured to change a gear ratio between the wheel and the gripping ring; the gear-shift arrangement comprising an internal-gear hub (8; 16; 46; 76) comprising a number of internal gears (18, 18, 18; 48, 48, 48; 78, 78, 78), a shift member (15; 45; 75), and a gear selector (9; 11; 41; 71) located on the same side of the wheel as the gripping ring, wherein the gear selector is operatively connected to the shift member (15; 45; 75) that is axially moveable within the internal-gear hub to engage a specific gear of said number of internal gears, and that the gear selector has an inner base portion (12; 42; 72) and an outer handle portion (13; 43; 73) and extends radially away from the wheel axle.
Assistive driving system for a wheelchair and method for controlling assistive driving system
The present disclosure describes a system and method for a providing an assistive driving force to a wheelchair.
Hand rim
Provided is a hand rim which is not slippery even when the surface is wet. A hand rim 7 includes a base material 70 and an anti-slippage layer 71 formed on the surface of the base material 70. The anti-slippage layer 71 includes an adhesive layer 71a formed on the surface of the base material 70 and particles 71b which are fixed through the adhesive layer 71a. The particles 71b are fixed so as to protrude from the adhesive layer 71a.
WHEELCHAIR
A wheelchair is provided which includes a body, and driving wheels arranged on the both sides of the body. The wheels include a rim portion, a hub portion, an hand rim, and fastening members. A tire is attached to the outer peripheral part of the rim portion. The hub portion is arranged at the center of the rim portion and coupled to the rim portion by connecting members. The hand rim is arranged along the rim portion on the exterior side of the rim portion. The fastening members fasten the hand rim to the rim portion. An insertion prohibition spacing is formed between the rim portion and the hand rim. The spacing has a distance capable of prohibiting insertion of user's thumb into this spacing.
Wheelchair hand rim, cover and fastening system therefor
A hand rim or push rim for a wheelchair wheel. The hand rim includes a rim structure with a convex bearing surface on a circumference of the rim structure, wherein the convex bearing surface is off-centered with respect to a center of the rim and tilted in an outer direction with respect to the wheelchair. Also provided is a wheelchair wheel hand rim cover, wherein the cover is made of ethylene vinyl acetate. There is also provided a fastening system for fastening a hand rim to a wheel. The fastening system includes fixing elements selectively and slideably interfacing with a plurality of anchor elements for selectively setting a separation distance between the hand rim and the wheel.
ADJUSTABLE WHEELCHAIR HANDRIM WITH MOVABLE FRICTION BAND
An adjustable manual wheelchair handrim with a moveable elastomeric friction band. The position of the tubular handrim can be moved to a desired location relative to the wheel rim depending on the needs and limits of the user. The movable friction band is stretched around the drive surface of the handrim at a desired location preventing it from moving and providing increased frictional properties when gripped by the user during pushes. The friction band can be permanently affixed at a location to further prevent movement and slippage between the handrim and the friction band.
Assembly for Giving Self-Service Access to at Least One Wheelchair for a Person of Reduced Mobility
Assembly for giving access to at least one wheelchair (1) comprising a frame (2) supported by wheels (5, 7) and provided with a seat (3), the assembly comprising a docking station (100) having a structure (201) delimiting at least one docking point designed to receive the chair such that, when the chair is in the docking point, the chair rests on its wheels and the seat of the chair is disposed so as to be usable by a user who wishes to sit down.
