AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE RESIN DISPERSION
20200369879 · 2020-11-26 ·

An aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion includes a cationic group and a polyalkylene oxide in a side chain thereof. The polyurethane resin is obtainable by reacting a polyester polyol, a polyether diol, a polyol containing a quaternary N-atom or tertiary amino group, and a polyisocyanate. The polyester polyol is obtained by reacting an aromatic polycarboxylic acid and a polyol. The polyurethane resin is suitable as a resin in treatment liquids of substrates and images made by inkjet printing.

Color protectant compositions

Provided herein are color protectant compositions for dyed human hair, and methods for determining the same.

Provided is an ink-jet recording liquid set containing a pretreatment liquid and an ink, wherein the pretreatment liquid contains a coagulant, water, and water-insoluble resin particles containing at least one of a polyester skeleton, a polyolefin skeleton and polyurethane skeleton; and the ink contains at least a pigment, a compound having an oxazoline group, and water.

Polyurethane elastomers, bio-additive compositions

A polyurethane elastomer, which can be a foam, generated from (a) an organic diisocyanate, (b) a polyester resin, (c) a chain extender comprised of a polyhydric alcohol, (d) a crosslinker, (e) a plasticizer, (f) a surfactant, (g) a bio-additive, (h) a blowing agent, and (i) an optional dye; and optionally where the elastomer has, for example, a hardness value of, for example, from about 15 Asker C to about 60 Asker C, a tensile strength of from about 1 MPa to about 10 MPa, a resilience of from about 30 percent to about 60 percent, an elongation at break of from about 150 percent to about 700 percent, and a tear strength from about 2 Newtons/millimeters to about 4 Newtons/millimeters, and which elastomers can be selected for footwear.

POLYURETHANE OR POLYURETHANE-UREA AQUEOUS DISPERSION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND USE THEREOF

A self-crosslinkable polyurethane or polyurethane-urea aqueous dispersion, a preparation method therefor, and a use thereof. Side chains of the polyurethane or polyurethane-urea contain non-sterically-hindered siloxy groups. During the drying and activation of the aqueous dispersion, the siloxys in the side chains are hydrolyzed and crosslinked with each other to increase the cross-linking density, significantly improving the heat resistance, the humidity resistance, and other properties of an adhesive obtained therefrom. The aqueous dispersion itself has a good stability. In addition, an application system based thereon has an excellent stability and a long storage time. The aqueous dispersion is suitable for the preparation of high quality paints and sealants, especially adhesives.

Polyols, polyurethane dispersions, and uses thereof

Provided herein are surface treating compositions for imparting beneficial surface properties to substrates. The compositions can be prepared by reacting a bio-based polyol with an isocyanate and an ionogenic molecule. The compositions can be used to treat a variety of substrates to provide enhanced properties to a surface of the substrate. Also provided are methods for the chemical modification of triglycerides and fatty acids and use thereof in creating beneficial surface treating compositions.

Semi-rigid polyurethane foam formulation and method for making foamed parts

Composites having a polymer or natural leather skin layer and a polyurethane foam layer are made in a molding process. The polyurethane foam layer is made from a foam formulation that includes certain polyester polyols. The presence of the polyester polyol improves flow characteristics of the foam formulation. The foam so produced has unexpectedly low quantities of VOCs.
