Process for producing elastomers

The present invention describes a process for producing an elastomer, preferably a polyurethane-containing elastomer, by reacting a polyol component (A) comprising at least one polyether carbonate polyol (A-1) containing carbon-carbon double bonds with a component (B) which is reactive with OH groups and contains at least one compound reactive toward OH groups, preferably an isocyanate component (B-1) containing NCO groups, in the presence of a free-radical initiator (C), preferably at least one peroxide (C-1), and optionally a catalyst (D), where the molar ratio of the OH-reactive groups of component (B) reactive with groups, to the OH groups of the polyol component (A) containing carbon-carbon double bonds, is greater than 1.0. It further relates to elastomers obtainable by such a process, preferably polyurethane elastomers, the use thereof, and two-component systems for production of elastomers, preferably polyurethane elastomers.

The present invention provides an adhesive composition which is a primerless urethane-based adhesive and has high adhesive force with respect to a polyolefin-based resin. An adhesive composition according to the present invention is a two-liquid type urethane-based adhesive composition comprising: a main agent which comprises (A) a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group at the end thereof, (B) a polyfunctional isocyanate compound having an alkoxysilyl group which can be obtained through a reaction of a silane compound having at least two alkoxysilyl groups in one molecule and a polyisocyanate having an isocyanate group at the end thereof and (C1) a first curing catalyst; and a curing agent which comprises (D) a hydrophobic polyol and (C2) a second curing catalyst.

Provided are a method of preparing a polyurethane prepolymer with high functionality and the polyurethane prepolymer with high functionality prepared therefrom and a curing agent comprising the same. The method includes the steps of: Step (A): providing an alcohol composition comprising a first polyol having 2 or 3 OH groups and a second polyol having 4 or more OH groups; Step (B): reacting the alcohol composition with a polyisocyanate to undergo a first polymerization, so as to obtain an intermediate; wherein a molar ratio of a total number of the OH groups of the alcohol composition to a total number of NCO groups of the polyisocyanate is from 1:2 to 1:6; and Step (C): adding a catalyst to carry out a second polymerization of the intermediate to obtain the polyurethane prepolymer with high functionality, which has four or more NCO groups.

Two-part curable urethane composition

A two-part curable urethane composition comprising a main agent (A) and a curing agent (B), wherein the main agent (A) contains a urethane prepolymer (a), an isocyanurate-modified polyisocyanate compound (b), and a silane coupling agent (c) at a specified ratio by mass; and the curing agent (B) contains a polyether polyol (d), a polyether polyol having 4 or more hydroxy groups (e), and an amine catalyst (f) at a specified ratio by mass.

Polyisocyanurate comprising foams with long cream time and snap-cure behaviour
