SMART ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR FOR THE ELDERLY
The present invention is a smart electric wheelchair for the elderly, which comprises a battery for power supply and a control system for integrally controlling the electric wheelchair, and also comprises a body bracket, wherein the bottom of the body bracket is connected with a standing platform for a user to stand, a driving unit is provided on each side of the standing platform to drive the electric wheelchair; and a foldable seat is provided in the middle of the body bracket, and an armrest is provided on each side of the seat, with at least one of the armrests provided with a controller for controlling the entire electric wheelchair. The electric wheelchair is provided with a plurality of sensors which include a ranging and positioning sensor and/or an obstacle avoidance sensor, and further include an identification sensor, wherein the identification sensor identifiably corresponds to a one-to-one mobile identification device worn by a user, so that the electric wheelchair can automatically follow the user's position according to the collaboration between the mobile identification device and the sensor. The present invention solves the drawbacks of existing similar apparatuses and gives the elderly a better use experience, showing both practical and economical significance.
Patient transfer apparatus
A patient transfer apparatus includes a seat assembly, a track assembly coupled to the seat assembly and including a track configured to engage the stairs in a stair traversing position, and front wheels coupled to the seat assembly for engagement with a floor in a transport position. The seat assembly includes a frame and a seat for supporting a patient. A front end of the track assembly is adjacent the front wheels without interfering with movement of the wheels in the transport position.
Vehicle ramp assembly
A vehicle ramp assembly as disclosed includes a ramp for supporting one or more wheels of a vehicle and providing a bridge over stepped terrain on which the wheels of the vehicle can travel. The ramp can move among a first configuration where the ramp is stowed in the ramp assembly, a second configuration where the ramp extends from the ramp assembly, and a third configuration where the ramp is supports the vehicle wheels as it travels over stepped terrain. A drive mechanism for the ramp, and a carriage coupling the drive mechanism to the ramp enable rotation of the ramp. A secondary actuation system enables linear movement of the carriage along the ramp. A control module can drive the carriage around a curvilinear loop, such that the ramp is driven in a cycle from the first configuration to the second configuration to the third configuration to the first configuration.
Patient Support Apparatus Having Removable Litter And Base With Foot Deck Section
A patient support apparatus comprises a litter and a base configured to receive and support the litter when the litter is docked to the base in a docked state. A foot end extension is coupled to a foot end of an intermediate frame of the base, with the foot end extension defining an extended position wherein at least a portion of the foot end extension extends outwardly beyond the foot end of the litter in a direction opposite the head end of the intermediate frame when the litter and base are in the docked state. The foot end extension includes a top surface that is axially aligned with a substantially flat configuration of the litter in the extended position. The foot end extension can be fixedly coupled in the extended position or movably coupled to the intermediate frame and movable between the extended position and a non-extended position.
Sit to Stand Stair Chair
A stair chair for use in transporting a patient in a seated position along stairs comprising a base, an upright coupled to the base, and a track assembly extending from the base for traversing stairs. A seat section is operatively attached to the upright and arranged for movement relative to the base between a plurality of vertical configurations including a first vertical configuration where the seat section is spaced from the base at a first distance for supporting the patient in the seated position, and a second vertical configuration where the seat section is spaced from the base at a second distance greater than the first distance. A lift mechanism is interposed between the base and the seat section to move the seat section between the plurality of vertical configurations. The lift mechanism moves the seat section to facilitate transitioning the patient to a standing position from the seated position.
Patient Support Apparatus With A Side Ramp
A patient support apparatus supports a patient and comprises a litter. The litter comprises a patient support deck and extends longitudinally between first and second ends. A base is configured to support the litter and comprises a base lift mechanism configured to move the litter between lifted and lowered base positions. A side ramp is coupled to the patient support deck along the litter between the first and second ends and extends laterally away from the patient support deck to an engagement end. The side ramp is pivotable relative to the litter between first and second positions. In the first position, the side ramp is planar with or angled upwardly to extend above the patient support deck. In the second position, the side ramp is angled downwardly to extend below the patient support deck for contacting the floor surface with the engagement end when in the lowered base position.
Tracked Chair
A tracked powered chair is described. A side drive assembly comprises a powered sprocket, a forward non-powered two wheel bogey, and a rearward non-powered two wheel bogey. Each bogey has a respective pivot member pivotally fastened at a first pivot member end between the first and second bogey wheels, and a second pivot member end fastened to the frame such that the forward and rearward bogey each pivot independently from one another around its respective pivot member. The geometry of the drive assembly creates a non-isosceles shaped triangular appearance (no two sides are of equal length).
