Folding wheelchair
A folding wheelchair is disclosed having a frame with two side portions, a seat and a folding mechanism. The folding mechanism has coupling connections, pivoting connections and a cross-strut with two bars crossing at a pivot point. First ends of each of the cross-strut bars are mounted rotatably on the side portions of the frame via the pivoting connections. Second ends of each of the cross-strut bars are releasably mounted on the other of the two side portions of the frame via the coupling connections. A distance between the frame side portions may be modified if the cross-strut bars second ends are released from the frame side portions. The cross-strut bars are pivoted relative to each other about the pivot point. The cross-strut extends from the first ends to the second ends of the bars in a cross-strut direction which, in the operating position, extends substantially along the seat.
CONVERTIBLE MOBILITY DEVICE
The present invention provides an assistive mobility device convertible between a rollator mode and a transport chair mode.
WHEELCHAIR
An object is to make it easier to lift and move a wheelchair by keeping casters from hanging even when the wheelchair is lifted by one hand.
To this end, a wheelchair includes a folding mechanism that couples a left-side support arm and a right-side support arm foldably in a left-right direction of the vehicle body. The folding mechanism includes an operation part for use in changing a state of a left-side support arm and a right-side support arm from one of a folded state or an unfolded state to another. The operation part is arranged between a rear drive wheel and a caster in a side view of the vehicle body.
WHEELCHAIR
It is an object to make it easy to unfold a wheelchair simply by lifting a part of the wheelchair with one hand.
A wheelchair includes a folding mechanism that folds a left-side support arm and a right-side support arm. The folding mechanism includes a grip part coupled to the distal end part of the left-side support arm and the distal end part of the right-side support arm. The grip part extends in the pivoting direction of the left-side support arm and the right-side support arm at a time of switching from a folded state to an unfolded state.
WHEELCHAIR
It is an object to improve riding comfort of a wheelchair having a folding mechanism by keeping an operation part of the folding mechanism from contacting a wheelchair user seated. A folding mechanism includes an operation part for use in changing a state of a left-side support arm and a right-side support arm from one of a folded state or an unfolded state to another. The operation part is arranged below an upper end part of a seat frame with a predetermined space therebetween.
Transport chair arranged for storage in passenger aircraft carry-on luggage
A transport chair of this disclosure includes a frame having a pair of fixed sides and hinged sides, the frame moveable between stowed and deployed states. The frame includes wheel receiving means and armrest and push handle assemblies receiving means with quick connect-disconnect clamps or pins. A bar, which is connectable to, and detachable from, each hinge extends between the pair of hinged sides. When connected to the hinged sides, the bar locks the frame in the deployed state and prevents the frame from moving to the stowed state. The chair may be quickly assembled and then dissembled for storage without the need for tools. When dissembled, the transport chair fits within an within an envelope 9 inches deep×14 inches wide×22 inches long.
REMOVABLY ATTACHED SEAT FOR A MOBILITY APPARATUS
A seat comprising: an attachment bracket; a seat hub rotatably attached to the attachment bracket in a first axis; a first locking mechanism operable to place the seat hub between a first position and a second position; a seat arm swivably attached to the seat hub in a second axis, wherein the second axis is substantially orthogonal to the first axis; a seating pad rotatably attached to the seat arm in a third axis, wherein the seating pad is caused to pivot into a sitting position; a second locking mechanism operable to maintain the seating pad in the sitting position.
Luggage
A folding wheelchair comprising a luggage compartment, a collapsible frame and wheels, the wheels being mounted to a chassis of the collapsible frame for supporting the folding wheelchair in use, the collapsible frame having a first support pivotally mounted to the chassis at a first end of the first support, the first support and chassis being configured to rotate relative to one another between a stowed position, in which the chassis and the first support are adjacent, and an erect position in which the first support extends away from the chassis to support a seat and handles for pushing the folding wheelchair.
ROLLABLE USER-SUPPORT DEVICE
A rollable user-support device comprising a rigid frame with first legs and second legs, each with a rollable and swivelable wheel, a seat with a seat folding mechanism and/or a seat manipulation mechanism. The seat manipulation mechanism can be operable to move the seat, with a user seated thereon, between a lower rearward seating position and an elevated forward seating position, and the seat folding mechanism can be operable to move the seat between the elevated forward seating position and a folded position, at least one of the devices being connected to a swivel prevention mechanism associated with the first wheels. The device can constitute a bi-directional rollable user-support device operable in three modes.
