The present invention describes a smart locomotory assistive device 1000 (or SLAD 1000) to assist the patient for a defecation cycle and locomotion. The SLAD 1000 reduces the level of dependency of patients by providing a wheelchair cum bed with automatic defecation, easy collecting, hygiene cleaning and leak proof packing process for the comfortable defecation in a defecation cycle.

A folding wheelchair with an excretion device has a foldable chair frame, a supporting device on the chair frame under a seat which is also foldable together with the chair frame, a wash device for cleansing and a wipe device for wiping. The other end of the L-shaped support frame is connected to one end of the foot pad portion remote from the footrest portion. The actuator of the footrest push rod is fixedly connected to the transmission frame. By adopting the utility model, a higher degree of automation can be achieved.

A patient transport apparatus includes a height-adjustable assembly having a longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a brake cable. The brake cable includes an elongate portion extending along the height-adjustable assembly and includes a slack portion. The apparatus includes a brake cable housing coupled to and axially offset from the height-adjustable assembly. The slack portion of the brake cable is enclosed within a hollow interior of the brake cable housing.

A multifunction wheelchair, with fixed or folding frame, is described. The multifunction wheelchair is reconfigurable, by a transformation mechanism, between a normal use, ergonomic configuration and a roll-over-toilet configuration. This transformation involves raising the seat of the wheelchair, as needed, to position the wheelchair over the determined height of a toilet, and opening a seat closure mechanism to expose a cutout in the seat for toilet use. This transformation may be at least partially automated. In examples, the multifunction wheelchair is equipped with electronics (e.g., camera, microcontroller) to determine the toilet seat height for making height and/or steering adjustments. The transformation mechanism may be provided as a retrofit kit.

A body waste collection system for bedridden or chair-bound patients. A waste entry port may interface with a resting surface of the bed or chair by way of a funnel that terminates at the resting surface. A collection unit may be fluidly coupled to the waste entry port by a flexible conduit system. The collection unit may include a temperature gauge, a volume measure, a sample port, and an odor removal port. Once the bedridden or chair-bound patient has assumed a release position along the resting surface defined by the waste entry port, no other lifting or movement of the patient is needed to collect their body waste in the collection unit, which can utilize the integrated hardware.

A reclining chair includes a frame and a back part with a back support slidably connected to a back frame hinged on a frame rotation point on the frame. A seat part, including a seat frame and a seat, is pivotably connected to the back frame at a chair joint. A reclining mechanism includes an arm pivot point fixed to the frame. An onboard pump assembly and connected power supply feeds fluids from at least one fluid source through a plurality of conduits via a fluid selection source, enabling operators to select from various output modes, e.g., water, heated air, body wash, shampoo, et cetera. The plurality of conduits is connected to a plurality of outlet heads distributed across the base chair segment and at least one articulated chair segment to enable a full-body wash without requiring a caregiver to physically maneuver the patient.

A female urination assistance apparatus for use by any women that can be easily fixed on a chair is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a base layer for placing on the top of the chair. A lower foam assembly fixed on top of the base layer contains plurality of channels for positioning of collection tube for transferring the urine. The collection fittings comprising of an inlet portion, an outlet portion and the collection tube are disposed of in the lower foam assembly. Further, a silicon support is present to secure the inlet portion of the collection fittings. Furthermore, a collection funnel retained in the silicon support is also provided which has an opening for the outflow of urine. The entire structure is covered by a flap closure cover with gel insert. The gel insert provides the interface between the user and the apparatus.

An auxiliary chair includes a supporting unit and a seating unit. The supporting unit includes a plurality of chair legs. The seating unit includes a seat cushion and a cushion frame installed on a bottom surface of the seat cushion. The cushion frame includes two spaced support tubes and two spaced connecting plates.
