A RECONFIGURABLE WHEELED PERSONAL MOBILITY DEVICE
A wheeled personal mobility device for transporting a person, an electric motor for use with the personal mobility device, a splined connection, an electromagnetic braking system and a steering engagement mechanism. The wheeled personal mobility device may be embodied as a wheeled personal mobility aid. The wheeled personal mobility device is reconfigurable between at least three configurations.
Patient transport apparatus with controlled drive member deployment
A patient transport apparatus transports a patient over a floor surface. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure and support wheels coupled to the support structure. An auxiliary wheel is coupled to the support structure to influence motion of the patient transport apparatus over the floor surface to assist users. An actuator is operatively coupled to the auxiliary wheel and operable to move the auxiliary wheel relative to the support structure from a retracted position to a deployed position. A user interface sensor is operatively connected to the actuator and configured to generate signals responsive to the user touching the user interface. A controller is operatively coupled to the user interface sensor and the actuator to operate the actuator in response to detection of signals.
Locking mechanism of an armrest assembly for a wheelchair and a wheelchair comprising the same
The present disclosure relates to a locking mechanism of an armrest assembly for a wheelchair, comprising: an elongated inner arm, an elongated outer profile, and a locking handle, wherein the locking handle is configured to pivot between proximal and distal pivot positions in which the locking handle is pivoted further away from the outer profile than in the proximal pivot position. The locking handle is configured to cause the locking structure to engage with the outer profile and the inner arm to axially interlock the outer profile with the inner arm, and wherein the locking handle is configured to move the locking structure from engagement with the outer profile and the inner arm to release the outer profile from axial interlocking with the inner arm when the outer profile is in the proximal position and the locking handle is moved from the distal pivot position towards the proximal pivot position.
MEDICAL SUPPORT APPARATUS
A medical chair includes a base, a seat, and a leg rest pivotally mounted relative to the seat and adapted to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The chair further includes a first actuator for tilting the seat with respect to the base, a second actuator for lifting the seat with respect to the base, and a leg rest actuator adapted to move the leg rest. The chair also includes a controller adapted to control the first and second actuators to move the seat between a first position and a second position such that the seat is both lifted and tilted at the same time as the seat moves from the first position to the second position, and wherein the controller is adapted to control the leg rest actuator such that the leg rest maintains a substantially constant orientation with respect to the floor.
Wheel chair with lifting function
Disclosed is a wheelchair, and particularly to a wheelchair with a lifting function, which has a simple structure for automatically moving a seating block where a wheelchair user is sitting, and enables the seating block to have a lifting movement and a rotational movement, thereby simplifying a structure and assisting the wheelchair user in standing up safely.
Mobile Chair Apparatus Comprising Foot Pedals
A mobile chair apparatus is described that comprises a drive assembly that preferably includes one or more moveable foot pedals, and drive wheels which rotate in response to rotation of the foot pedals by the mobile chair occupant, and a steering assembly which comprises two steering wheels and at least one tiller, configured such that forward and backward movement of said tiller will translate into movement of both steering wheels, wherein the drive assembly and the steering assembly concurrently enable the mobile chair occupant to propel and steer the mobile chair apparatus without assistance from another person.
Patient support apparatuses with dynamic control panels
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, recliner, operating table, stretcher, or the like, includes a control panel with multiple controls for controlling functions of the patient support apparatus. A control system disables at least a first control and changes an illumination state of a backlight when the patient support apparatus is in a particular state. In some embodiments, the particular state is the arming of an exit detection system and/or the deactivation of a brake on the patient support apparatus. The particular state may also or alternatively be tied to a particular mode of the patient support apparatus, such as a diagnostic mode, a maintenance mode, and/or a normal mode. The control system may also never illuminate a first icon on the patient support apparatus if it was initially configured in a particular manner, such as being intended for sale in a particular geographic market.
A stair-climbing device for a wheelchair, a wheelchair suitable for installing such a stair-climbing device and a wheelchair equipped with such a stair-climbing device
The object of the invention is a stair-climbing device (1) for moving a wheelchair (2) on stairs by means of muscular force of a person sitting on the wheelchair (2) or by means of an electric drive assembly (76) without the assistance of third party. The stair-climbing device (1) comprises two crawler units (89), which are connected with each other by a drive axle (44); connecting units comprising an attachment devices (17) mountable on each hub of the main wheel (4) of the wheelchair (2) and a holders (26) for rotational mounting on the main wheel (4) to each attachment device (17) and comprising main arms (31) mounted slidingly in the holders (26) and rotationally connected at one its end with the main axle (44) for manual changing a position of the stair-climbing device (1) in relation to the wheelchair (2) between a transport mode position, stair-climbing mode position and optionally landing mode, if the landing mode is present; a levelling units (105) for setting the attached wheelchair (2) in a horizontal position during stair climbing. The invention also includes a wheelchair (2) suitable for attaching a stair-climbing device (1), wherein the wheelchair (2) comprises a frame (6), main wheels (4), front wheels (5), a seat (3) and a back-rest (8). Moreover, the invention includes a wheelchair (2) with a mounted stair-climbing device (1).
