MOBILE PATIENT SUPPORT CHAIR
A mobile patient support chair to assist in bathing of a patient by a carer with little or no upper body strength comprises a chair pivotally mounted in a support frame comprised of four legs each ending in a wheel. The chair frame comprises groups of support panels which can be locked in support positions and rotated through 90 degrees to provide access to the patient's legs, buttocks and back. Additionally the chair is balanced to allow easy rotation into a fully backwards lying position, and a fully forward lying position. In the fully forward lying position flexible retaining strips are placed across the patient to retain them in place. Additionally the wheels may be step-climbing wheels to assist in climbing small steps found in bathroom entrances and shower cubicles.
PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS WITH LOAD SENSOR
A strain gauge assembly includes a member and a strain gauge supported by the member spaced. The strain gauge further includes a bearing surface and a contact surface spaced from the bearing surface. When the member is subject to a predetermined bending force, the bearing surface contacts the contact surface wherein at least a portion of the bending force bypasses the strain gauge and instead is transferred from the bearing surface to the contact surface.
User control device for a transporter
A user control device for a transporter. The user control device can communicate with the transporter via electrical interface(s) that can facilitate communication and data processing among the user interface device and controllers that can control the movement of the transporter. The user control device can perform automated actions based on the environment in which the transporter operates and the user's desired movement of the transporter. External applications can enable monitoring and control of the transporter.
Wheelchair lift device
The present invention is directed to a wheelchair lift device, more particularly, to a folding wheelchair lift device that is independently operable by a wheelchair user without the wheelchair user exiting their chair. The wheelchair lift apparatus, in various embodiments, may include a linkage frame having a nesting linkage geometry; linkage frame components with alignment and locking features; an extension handle having alignment and locking features; and an adjustable telescopic axle-rest assembly having alignment and locking features.
Scissors lift for a wheelchair
The present invention relates to a scissors lift comprising a bottom frame, a top frame and a scissors mechanism arranged between the bottom frame and the top frame to displace the bottom frame and the top frame relative to each other by transfer of an actuation force. The scissors mechanism comprises a central hollow scissors arm delimited between opposite scissors arm surfaces, wherein the central hollow scissors arm has a bottom pivotal connection connecting it to the bottom frame and a top pivotal connection connecting it to the top frame. Further, the mechanism comprises two passive scissors arms being pivotally connected to the bottom frame and pivotally connected to the top frame. Each of the two passive scissors arms are pivotally connected to the central hollow scissors arm on the opposite scissors arm surfaces of the central hollow scissors arm. Further, the scissors lift comprises a motor providing said actuation force, said motor located between said opposite scissors arm surfaces of said central hollow scissors arm. Thereby, the motor may be protected and at least partially enclosed by the scissors lift and even by the central hollow scissors arm, allowing a safer and/or more easily maintained scissors lift.
WHEELCHAIR INCORPORATED WITH A LIFT APPARATUS
A wheelchair incorporated with a lift apparatus is disclosed. The wheelchair comprises a pair of seat frame support bars, backrest support bars, and armrest frame support bars for supporting at least one seat cushion, backrest cushion, and armrest cushions. The wheelchair further comprises lower support bars positioned parallel and opposite each other on both sides of the wheelchair. The support assembly includes a plurality of scissor links pivotally connected to each other, and an end of the plurality of scissor links is pivotally affixed with needle bearings to the lower support bars and the seat frame support bars. The lift apparatus includes one or more actuators, positioned between the lower support bars and at least one scissor link on both sides. The actuators are configured to raise and lower the seat cushion by raising at least one scissor link, thereby raising and lowering the seat cushion to a desired adjustable height for the user.
DRIVE DEVICE FOR A WHEELCHAIR
A drive device (1) for a wheelchair (2) comprises a control element (23), a chassis (9, 13) and a support frame (15). A fixing arrangement (19) is mounted on the support frame (15) and can be fixed to a wheelchair frame (7) of the wheelchair (2). The fixing arrangement (19) is designed such that it can be automatically connected to and released from the wheelchair frame (7) of the wheelchair (2) by a fixing drive (21).
Elevated Height Wheelchair
Embodiments of the present disclosure include a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, and one or more pairs of arm assemblies. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheel chair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters that can selectively engage the arm assembly dependent on the position of the arm assembly and surface conditions of ground and can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.
Hydro-chair
The invention is directed to a hydraulic assisted machine in the form of a wheelchair that aids in handicapped personnel with many types of disabilities, aids with medical personnel, caregivers, hospitals, rehabilitation services, etc. also providing little to no assistance for the disabled. The materials used for construction of such machine is a structured based metal, or metallic alloy, rubber, plastic metal, polyester, and leather. Special features enabled in the wheelchair are: Hydraulic lift with springs, armchair remote, Lift assist tilting. This invention provides for a wheelchair including a hydraulic pump below the patient seat panel actuated using a remote or a hand gear or a push button to lift the user to their feet without limited or no help.
Lifting bracket
The present invention relates to a lifting bracket (1), in particular to a lifting bracket (1) for attaching to a mobility device such as a mobility scooter, power chair, or other electrically powered mobility device. The lifting bracket (1) comprises a main body (2) with a central portion and two side portions which extend away from the central portion. A connector (5), for connecting the body to a mobility device, is provided on a front edge (18) of the central portion of the body (2), and a mounting point (37) is provided at each end of the body (2) for attachment to a spreader bar. The body (2) is shaped such that each end of the body (2) is positioned forward of the front edge (18) of the central portion.
