COMPONENTS AND CATALYSTS FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OF OLEFINS
A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins CH.sub.2═CHR in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, made from or containing Mg, Ti, Bi, halogen and an electron donor obtained from a process including the steps:
(a) dissolving a Mg(OR).sub.2 compound wherein R groups, equal to or different from each other, are C.sub.1-C.sub.15 hydrocarbon groups optionally containing a heteroatom selected from O, N and halogen, in an organic liquid medium, thereby forming a first liquid mixture;
(b) contacting the first liquid mixture (a) with TiCl.sub.4, thereby forming a second liquid mixture absent a solid phase, and
(c) subjecting the second liquid mixture (b) to conditions, whereby solid catalyst particles are formed,
wherein (i) a Bi compound and (ii) a bidentate electron donor compound are present in one or more of steps (a) to (c) and/or contacted with the solid catalyst particles obtained from (c).

A solid catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins CH.sub.2═CHR in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, made from or containing Mg, Ti, Bi, halogen and an electron donor obtained from a process including the steps:
(a) dissolving a Mg(OR).sub.2 compound wherein R groups, equal to or different from each other, are C.sub.1-C.sub.15 hydrocarbon groups optionally containing a heteroatom selected from O, N and halogen, in an organic liquid medium, thereby forming a first liquid mixture;

wherein (i) a Bi compound and (ii) a bidentate electron donor compound are present in one or more of steps (a) to (c) and/or contacted with the solid catalyst particles obtained from (c).

RANDOM PROPYLENE-ETHYLENE COPOLYMERS
A propylene ethylene copolymer having the following features: an ethylene content of between 1.0 and 4.0% by weight; a molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, of greater than 4.0; a content of xylene soluble fraction (XS) and ethylene content (C2) that fulfills the following relationship:
(C2×1.1)+1.25<XS<(C2×1.1)+2.50 where: XS=% by weight of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C.; C2=% by weight of ethylene units in the copolymer determined via NMR; a melt flow rate (MFR; 230° C., 2.16 kg) of between 30 to 75 g/10 min; an intrinsic viscosity of the copolymer of lower than 1.5 dl/g; and an intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C. of higher than 0.32 dl/g.
RANDOM PROPYLENE-ETHYLENE COPOLYMERS
A propylene ethylene copolymer having the following features: an ethylene content of between 1.0 and 4.0% by weight; a molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, of greater than 4.0; a content of xylene soluble fraction (XS) and ethylene content (C2) that fulfills the following relationship:
(C2×1.1)+1.25<XS<(C2×1.1)+2.50 where: XS=% by weight of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C.; C2=% by weight of ethylene units in the copolymer determined via NMR; a melt flow rate (MFR; 230° C., 2.16 kg) of between 30 to 75 g/10 min; an intrinsic viscosity of the copolymer of lower than 1.5 dl/g; and an intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C. of higher than 0.32 dl/g.
Multilayer film comprising propylene-ethylene-1-butene terpolymers
A multilayer film made from or containing a skin layer made from or containing a polyolefin composition made from or containing: A) from 19 wt % to 50 wt % of a propylene ethylene copolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt % to 6.0 wt % and B) from 50 wt % to 81 wt % of a propylene ethylene 1-butene terpolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt % to 6.0 wt % and 1-butene derived units content of between 4.8 wt % to 12.4 wt %; the sum of the amount of component A) and B) being 100; the composition being characterized by the following features: molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, greater than 4.0; the creep and recovery curve measured on the polymer fuse at 200° C. shows a maximum value between 600 and 1200 seconds, lower than 53×10.sup.−5 1/Pa.
Multilayer film comprising propylene-ethylene-1-butene terpolymers
A multilayer film made from or containing a skin layer made from or containing a polyolefin composition made from or containing: A) from 19 wt % to 50 wt % of a propylene ethylene copolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt % to 6.0 wt % and B) from 50 wt % to 81 wt % of a propylene ethylene 1-butene terpolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt % to 6.0 wt % and 1-butene derived units content of between 4.8 wt % to 12.4 wt %; the sum of the amount of component A) and B) being 100; the composition being characterized by the following features: molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, greater than 4.0; the creep and recovery curve measured on the polymer fuse at 200° C. shows a maximum value between 600 and 1200 seconds, lower than 53×10.sup.−5 1/Pa.
Catalyst component for high activity and high stereoselectivity in olefin polymerization
What is disclosed is a method for preparing a catalyst system and a catalyst system for polymerizing or copolymerizing an -olefin. Catalyst component (A) is obtained by a process of reacting a magnesium complex (A-1) containing acid salts of group IB-VIIIB elements formed by contacting a magnesium halide with an acid salt solution of group IB-VIIIB metals or spherical particles adducts, an internal electron donor (A-2) of diester or diether or composite compounds, and a titanium compound (A-3). The catalyst compound (A) is contacted with a silicon compound (B) and an organoaluminium compound (C) to complete the catalyst system providing a good balance of catalyst performance in terms of activity and stereo-specificity.
Catalyst component for high activity and high stereoselectivity in olefin polymerization
What is disclosed is a method for preparing a catalyst system and a catalyst system for polymerizing or copolymerizing an -olefin. Catalyst component (A) is obtained by a process of reacting a magnesium complex (A-1) containing acid salts of group IB-VIIIB elements formed by contacting a magnesium halide with an acid salt solution of group IB-VIIIB metals or spherical particles adducts, an internal electron donor (A-2) of diester or diether or composite compounds, and a titanium compound (A-3). The catalyst compound (A) is contacted with a silicon compound (B) and an organoaluminium compound (C) to complete the catalyst system providing a good balance of catalyst performance in terms of activity and stereo-specificity.
