Electric wheelchair
An electric wheelchair according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a frame configured to support a seat, a driver configured to be coupled to a lower portion of the frame, armrests configured to be coupled to both sides of the frame, and a controller configured to be detachably coupled to the armrest, in which the controller is coupled so as to shield an opening formed in the armrest and is electrically connected to a connector located inside the armrest. The wheelchair includes a robot.
DRIFTING KART
Drifting karts in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described that include a front wheel drive train and rear caster wheels that can be dynamically engaged to induce and control drift during a turn. One embodiment of the invention includes a chassis to which a steering column is mounted, where the steering column includes at least one front steerable wheel configured to be driven by an electric motor, a battery housing mounted to the chassis, where the battery housing contains a controller and at least one battery, wiring configured to provide power from the at least one battery to the electric motor, two caster wheels mounted to the chassis, where each caster wheel is configured to rotate around a rotational axis and swivel around a swivel axis, and a hand lever configured to dynamically engage the caster wheels to induce and control drift during a turn.
ACCESSIBLE SCOOTERS AND METHODS OF USE
Accessible scooters and methods of use are disclosed herein. An example scooter can include a scooter base that is adapted to interface with a frame of a wheelchair, a locking mechanism associated with the scooter base, the locking mechanism releasably securing the frame of a wheelchair to the scooter base, and a steering column associated with handlebars of the scooter.
AUXILIARY DRIVE DEVICE FOR A WHEELCHAIR
An auxiliary drive device for a wheelchair has at least one freely pivotable electrically driven drive wheel and a coupling mechanism for coupling the auxiliary drive device to the wheelchair. The coupling mechanism includes a movable locking element which is movably supported in the coupling mechanism. The movable locking element can be in a locking position in which it causes locking in a positive-locking manner so that the auxiliary drive device is coupled to the wheelchair and, by operation of a handle, the locking element can be moved in a release position in which uncoupling of the auxiliary drive device from the wheelchair is possible.
Wheelchair
The present invention relates to a wheelchair, comprising a wheelchair body, a control system, two front wheels and two rear wheels mounted to the front part and rear part of the wheelchair body respectively. The wheelchair further comprises a left and right transmission gear and a front and rear transmission gear mounted to the front part and rear part of the wheelchair body and connected to the two front wheels, the two rear wheels and the control system respectively. The left and right transmission gear is used to drive the two front wheels to rotate left and right and the front and rear transmission gear is used to drive the two rear wheels to move forward and backward and assist left and right rotation. The present invention enables the wheelchair to turn left or right while moving forward or backward on two parallel lines, allowing convenience of use.
User Control Device for a Transporter
A user control device for a transporter. The user control device can communicate with the transporter via electrical interface(s) that can facilitate communication and data processing among the user interface device and controllers that can control the movement of the transporter. The user control device can perform automated actions based on the environment in which the transporter operates and the user's desired movement of the transporter. External applications can enable monitoring and control of the transporter.
A DUAL CONFIGURATION PORTABLE WHEELCHAIR
A portable wheelchair is collapsible for ease of development, handling and transport, while also providing a front steer configuration and a rear steer configuration.
Mobile Chair Apparatus Comprising Foot Pedals
A mobile chair apparatus is described that comprises a drive assembly that preferably includes one or more moveable foot pedals, and drive wheels which rotate in response to rotation of the foot pedals by the mobile chair occupant, and a steering assembly which comprises two steering wheels and two armrests, wherein movement of just one armrest will translate into movement of both steering wheels, and wherein the drive assembly and the steering assembly concurrently enable the mobile chair occupant to propel and steer the mobile chair apparatus without assistance from another person.
Mobility Assistance Device
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.
SUPPORT DEVICES INCLUDING MOVABLE SEGMENTS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A support device includes a base portion, a leg coupled to the base portion, the leg including an upper segment, a central segment pivotally coupled to the upper segment at a front wheel, a lower segment pivotally coupled to the central segment, a rear wheel coupled to the lower segment, and an engagement member coupled to the lower segment, where the engagement member is positionable between a disengaged position, in which at least a portion of the engagement member is positioned above the rear wheel, and an engaged position, in which at least a portion of the engagement member is positioned at or below the rear wheel.
