Support devices including movable leg segments and methods for operating the same
A support device includes a wheel, a base member, a leg coupled to the wheel and the base member, the leg including an upper leg segment, a lower leg segment positioned below the upper leg segment, a joint positioned between the upper leg segment and the lower leg segment, and an actuator engaged with the upper leg segment and the lower leg segment, where the actuator includes a linear engagement member that is engaged with one of the upper leg segment and the lower leg segment, a cammed member defining a non-circular perimeter engaged with the linear engagement member, and a motor engaged with the linear engagement member through the cammed member.
Wheelchair suspension
A suspension for a vehicle is provided. The suspension includes, for example, a frame, at least one drive assembly and at least one caster pivot arm. The at least one drive assembly and the at least one caster pivot arm are pivotally connected to the frame at a common pivot axis such that the drive assembly and the front caster pivot arm are pivotable relative to one another.
MOBILITY SUPPORT DEVICE WITH STEP CLIMBING MECHANISM
A mobility support device capable of stably climbing a step without impairing mobility on flat ground is provided. The mobility support device includes a front wheel, a rear wheel, a drive wheel disposed between the front wheel and the rear wheel, a first link coupled to the front wheel, a second link connecting the drive wheel and the rear wheel, a rotation joint coupling the first link and the second link at a first position, and a first elastic member coupling the first link and the second link at a second position different from the first position.
Elevated Height Wheelchair
The present disclosure includes a wheelchair configured to reposition an occupant between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair can include a frame, a seat moveable relative to the frame, a drive wheel, one or more pairs of arm assemblies, and one or more sensors. The arm assembly includes a wheel configured to move from a first spatial location when the wheelchair is operating on flat, level ground to a second spatial location that is different than the first spatial location. Arm limiters can selectively engage the arm assembly based on at least one of a seat position, position of the arm assembly, and surface conditions of ground surface. The arm limiters can limit the range of motion of the arm assembly and sometimes other operational aspects of the chair.
Electric Wheelchair Frame
An electric wheelchair frame includes a frame and a power support swayably connected to a frame. A connecting rod is swayably connected to the frame, is pivotably connected to the power support, and is movable relative to the power support in a longitudinal direction. A driving device includes a connecting seat and a power output unit. The connecting seat is pivotably mounted to the power support. The power output unit is fixed to the connecting seat and includes a driving shaft extending away from the frame and a driving wheel. When the driving wheel is moving on a bumpy road, the pivotal movement between the connecting seat and the power support increases the sitting comfort of a user in an electric wheelchair.
Wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and detachable armrest
A wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and a detachable arm assembly is described. The rear wheel support assembly is adjustable by finite adjustment both in the horizontal and vertical planes whereby to adjust the position of the rear wheels at a center of gravity to suit a user person to optimize the efforts of propulsion of the wheelchair by the user and thereby significantly increasing its quality of life. The detachable armrest is easily adjustable in height and can be pivoted away from its position of use by simple hand-operating levers easily accessible to the user person. It can also be easily removed with little effort.

A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.
CHASSIS WITH HIGH MOVEMENT SUSPENSION
The present invention provides a wheeled conveyance (10) having a chassis (12) having a first base member (12a) and having a longitudinal axis X, a plurality of wheels (14, 16, 18, 20) and a suspension system (22) between one or more of the plurality of wheels (14, 16, 18, 20) and the chassis (12), wherein said suspension system (22) has on or more front arms (24a, 24b) extending in a generally forward (F) and outward direction (O) and being mounted to the chassis (12) for substantially vertical movement about a pivot axis A-A or B-B which extends at an acute angle of a relative to longitudinal axis X. The arrangement is more able to absorb shock and more stable than arrangements of the prior art.
Stability control system
Embodiments of a suspension for a vehicle is provided. The suspension includes, for example, a frame and a locking assembly. The locking assembly inhibits tipping of a frame of the vehicle when tipping of the frame is detected.
Mobility Vehicle
A mobility vehicle may comprise a frame, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm, and a suspension assembly. The first pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a drive wheel. The second pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a ground engaging caster wheel. The suspension assembly may be coupled to the frame. The suspension assembly may include a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly may be disposed about a first spring axis and coupled to the first pivot arm. The second spring assembly may be disposed about a second spring axis and coupled to the second pivot arm. The first spring axis and the second spring axis may be disposed relative to each other at an angle of no greater than about 150° when the mobility vehicle is operating on horizontal ground.
