A mobility vehicle may comprise a frame, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm, and a suspension assembly. The first pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a drive wheel. The second pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a ground engaging caster wheel. The suspension assembly may be coupled to the frame. The suspension assembly may include a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly may be disposed about a first spring axis and coupled to the first pivot arm. The second spring assembly may be disposed about a second spring axis and coupled to the second pivot arm. The first spring axis and the second spring axis may be disposed relative to each other at an angle of no greater than about 150° when the mobility vehicle is operating on horizontal ground.

The present disclosure may relate to a wheel that may include first and second exoskeleton plates. The wheel may also include first and second roller guide assemblies that each include one or more bearings, a roller guide coupled with the one or more bearings, and a shaft spanning the first and second exoskeleton plates and coupled with the roller guide such that the roller guide rotates around the shaft. The wheel may also include a tire and a centerless rim coupled with the tire. The centerless rim may be configured to have a shape that corresponds to a shape of the roller guide, and the roller guide may be configured to contact the centerless rim as the centerless rim rotates. The wheel may also include a first limiter to maintain contact between the centerless rim and the roller guide, and a second limiter.

A mobility assistive device includes a first frame including a first support and a first wheel, a second frame including a second support and second wheels, and a connecting structure including first connecting boards connected to the first support. The second support includes a supporting rod and abutting portions. Each first connecting board has a slot for being engaged with the supporting rod, an abutting surface for abutting against the abutting portions, and a perforation. Each positioning member is disposed on one the second support, and includes a positioning portion. When the slots are engaged with the supporting rod and the abutting surfaces are abutted against the abutting portions, the positioning portions are movable between a locked position and a released position. When in the locked position, the positioning portions are inserted into the perforations. When in the released position, the positioning portions are drew out from the perforations.

By one approach, a body frame as comprises the wheeled personal conveyance has a front portion that is laterally wider than a part of the body frame that comprises a part of the aforementioned rear portion of the wheeled personal conveyance. So configured, the wheeled personal conveyance can have a passenger area that is wider towards the front than towards the back. By one approach, arm rests are provided that connect to a seat of the wheeled personal conveyance and that move in conjunction with the seat as the seat pivots.

The drive assembly pivot arm is pivotally connected to the frame. The drive assembly includes a drive wheel and is mounted to the drive assembly pivot arm. The front caster pivot arm is pivotally mounted to the frame and coupled to the drive assembly pivot arm. The front caster is coupled to the at least one front caster pivot arm. The spring and shock absorbing assembly is pivotally connected to the drive assembly pivot arm at a first pivotal connection and pivotally connected to the front caster pivot arm at a second pivotal connection. The first and second pivotal connections are positioned such that a majority of the force applied by the spring and shock absorbing assembly is applied to the drive wheel when the suspension is on a flat, horizontal support surface.

ADJUSTABLE WHEELCHAIR ARRANGEMENTS

An adjustable wheelchair includes a base frame having a first guide portion defining a first arcuate channel, and a seat frame having a second guide portion defining a second arcuate channel confronting the first arcuate channel. A first bearing assembly is secured to a front end of the first arcuate channel and extends into bearing engagement with the second arcuate channel. A rear bearing assembly is secured to a rear end of the second arcuate channel and extends into bearing engagement with the first arcuate channel. The seat frame is slideable in an arcuate path defined by the first and second arcuate channels for adjustment of a tilt angle of the seat frame with respect to the base frame.
