MOBILE BODY
A mobile body (1A) includes: a base body (3) tiltably assembled to a movement operation section (2) that can move on a floor surface; an occupant riding section 6 installed to the base body (3) by a connection mechanism (4); an auxiliary ground contact section 7 connected to the occupant riding section (6) and in contact with the floor surface in a slidable or rollable manner when a tilt amount of the occupant riding section (6) with respect to the floor surface increases to a predetermined amount; and a control device (80) which controls the movement of the movement operation section (2) to stabilize the attitude of the mobile body (1A). The connection mechanism (4) elastically rocks the occupant riding section (6) with respect to the base body (3) according to the movement of the center of gravity of a user P riding on the occupant riding section (6).
EXTENDED WHEELCHAIR AND AN ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR THE WHEELCHAIR
Embodiments herein disclose an extended wheel chair having a wheel chair and an attachment device. The wheel chair comprises a body having each of first body part and a second body part mounted over a frame on the wheel chair. The second body part comprises at least two pins and a flat plate. The wheel chair further comprises an attachment device to be mechanically locked to the body of the wheel chair. The attachment device comprises of a body provided with each of a first slot and a second slot. First pin of the at least two pins is engaged with the first slot and a second pin of the at least two pins is engaged with the second slot.
Wheelchair for transferring a patient to an automobile
A wheelchair for transferring a patient to an automobile is disclosed that comprises: a base assembly; a first motor, a second motor, and a third motor connected to the base assembly; the first motor is configured to move the wheelchair around during a normal operating mode, the second motor is configured to provide stability to the wheelchair during a patient transferring mode; and a seating assembly having a fixed seat section and a movable seat section which are separated from each other during the patient transferring mode.
Mobile object
A mobile object of the invention includes: a moving base including a front wheel and a rear wheel; a seat having a seating surface; and an armrest located outward of the seating surface in a width direction of the mobile object. The armrest includes: a supporting part supported on the moving base; a body part supported by the supporting part; and a grip protruding from the body part. The armrest is configured so as to be changeable between the position of use in which a user seated on the seating surface can hold the grip with the arm positioned upward of the armrest, and the lift-up position in which the grip is positioned upward of the position of use. The grip in the lift-up position is located outward in the width direction of the mobile object with respect to the grip in the position of use.
VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH LIFT UNIT FOR SEAT
The vehicle is provided with a seat which is movable between a high position and a low position, and configured to be grounded when the seat is at the low position, and a support leg extending substantially downward from the seat of the vehicle. The support leg is movable between a retracted position positioned close to a vehicle body frame and a deployed position positioned remote from the vehicle body frame, the support leg being configured to be at the retracted position when the seat is at the high position, and to move from the retracted position to the deployed position when the seat moves from the high position to the low position.
Power assist apparatus for hand-propelled wheelchairs
A power assist apparatus that converts a hand-propelled wheelchair to a motorized wheelchair without use of tools or mounting brackets. The apparatus has a first motorized section and a support assembly associated with one drive wheel of the wheelchair and a second motorized section and a support assembly associated with the other drive wheel. The motorized sections, each having a motor and a wheel, are connected together but operate independently. Each support assembly has an outrigger assembly with outwardly extending arms that support the drive wheels above the surface to be traversed. The apparatus has a control mechanism controlling the motors and a positioning sensor mechanism determining movement of the outrigger assemblies to transmit positional information to the control mechanism and move the apparatus and wheelchair in the direction indicated by the drive wheels, thereby controlling movement of the apparatus in the same manner as the non-motorized wheelchair.
VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH LIFT UNIT FOR SEAT
The vehicle is provided with a lift unit includes a fixed base (21) supported by a vehicle body frame, a movable base (22) connected to a seat base supporting a seat (4), and supported by the fixed base so as to be movable between a lowered position and a reference position higher than the lowered position relative to the fixed base, an engagement device (23) configured to selectively retain the movable base to the fixed base at the reference position, an electric lift mechanism (24) configured to move the movable base vertically relative to the seat base, and a control unit (6) controlling the engagement device and the electric lift mechanism.
WHEELCHAIR AND SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
Embodiments of a wheelchair and suspension system are provided. The suspension includes a drive assembly that is pivotably connected to a base frame at multiple locations. In one embodiment, the connection is via intermediary pivoting links or arms. Embodiments of the links or arms including rigid links, resilient links, elastic links, shocks, springs, gas cylinders and lockable gas cylinders (or combinations of the foregoing). The drive assembly can, via the pivot connections, pivot to accommodate and traverse variations and obstacles on ground surfaces.
