Air-cushion block structure, and mattress including air-cushion block structure installed therein
Provided is an air-cushion block structure, and a mattress including the air-cushion block structure installed therein. The mattress of the present invention is provided with an air-cushion block structure which includes: an upper cushion having a first core hole vertically formed therein; and a lower cushion which has a second core hole vertically formed therein, and is disposed at a lower portion of the upper cushion. Accordingly, it is possible to stably transfer a weight of a user applied from an upper portion of the air-cushion block structure to a lower portion thereof, as well as, achieve a structure that stably supports the weight of the user by minimizing an occurrence of torsional deflection caused by the weight.
Wheelchair frame assembly
A wheelchair frame assembly for a self-balancing board. The wheelchair frame assembly is mountable to the self-balancing board. The self-balancing board includes at least one gyroscopic assembly and includes two wheels on opposing ends of an axle, controlled by two upper surfaces that independently pivot about the axle. Independent pivoting of each of the two upper surfaces controls a speed of an adjacent wheel, and a direction of the self-balancing board. The wheelchair frame assembly includes a seat, a footrest, a forward caster wheel, a rearward caster wheel, a left handlebar, and a right handlebar. The handlebars interface with the two upper surfaces to enable an individual seated in the wheelchair frame assembly to control speed and direction of the self-balancing board by moving the handlebars, thereby pivoting the two upper surfaces and causing the two wheels to independently rotate.
MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A method of controlling a motorized wheelchair including a seat frame supporting a seat, a back frame to which the seat frame is detachably connected, a first main wheel and a second main wheel respectively installed at both lower ends of the back frame, an inclination detecting sensor which detects an inclination, and a controller which controls the main wheel and the second main wheel, includes receiving an input for a turning operation, calculating an inclination angle of a running ground by the inclination detecting sensor, and determining whether the inclination angle is greater than a reference angle.
MODULAR MOBILITY SYSTEMS
Provided are modular mobility systems that can be used as gait trainers, wheelchairs, and/or standing aids. Modular mobility systems provided comprise a mobility base, a gait trainer module, a wheelchair module, and/or a standing aid module. Modular mobility systems provided herein are designed to adjust to users of different sizes and of different abilities and/or needs.
Ergonomically designed seating apparatus
An ergonomically designed seating apparatus having a seat and a backrest. The seat having a seat frame securable to a chassis, a seat support pivotally connected to the seat frame, and at least one first resilient member positioned between the seat frame and the seat support permitting resilient relative pivotal tilting between them. The backrest having a back frame securable to the chassis, a lumbar support connected to the back frame, a back support pivotally connected to the lumbar support, at least one second resilient member positioned along surfaces of the lumbar support and the back support permitting resilient relative pivotal tilting between them, at least one pivot arm connected to the back support configured to limit the pivotal range of motion of the back support, and at least one pivot block connected to the lumbar support configured to interact with the at least one pivot arm.
WHEELCHAIR DEVICE FOR ACTIVELY MOVING A SEAT UNIT OF A WHEELCHAIR
A wheelchair device for actively moving a seat unit, in particular a seat part and/or a backrest part of the seat unit, of a wheelchair, has at least one movement conversion unit which is arrangeable at least in part on at least one drive wheel of the wheelchair and which is provided for the purpose of converting a movement of the at least one drive wheel into a movement of the seat unit.
Wheelchair Head Support
A wheelchair head support. The wheelchair head support may have a first and a second support pole connected to a wheelchair in a vertical position. A flexible panel may be connected to the support poles. The panel may further include an attached pillow which adds extra support. The wheelchair head support may attach to the wheel chair using a set of friction connectors or with a set of clamps or any other suitable fasteners.
WHEELCHAIR STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING PRESSURE ULCERS
A wheelchair structure for preventing pressure ulcers is disclosed. A lifting mechanism is mounted under a seat cushion of a wheelchair, and a knee support is disposed on the front of a seat cushion. When the lifting mechanism lifts the seat cushion, proximal ends of tibias of a user can just lean on the knee support, and a foot pedal of the wheelchair can make the user have a posture with bent knees and in a shape of <, so that the user can change a sitting posture to prevent pressure ulcers caused by long-term pressure on the buttocks when sitting in the wheelchair.
Wheelchair Body Harness
A wheelchair body harness system and method for manufacturing such system comprising a vest portion and seat area created by a strap secured between a patient's legs. The wheelchair body harness may contain a zipper along the center of the patient's chest and abdomen area of the vest portion. Adjustable side and shoulder panels may also be included to accommodate patients of different sizes. The wheelchair body harness may contain straps and buckle members across the patient's sides and shoulders that correspond to straps and buckle members located on a wheelchair or wheelchair insert. The vest portion may contain a Velcro section on the posterior side to adhere to a Velcro back of a wheelchair or wheelchair insert. The vest portion may also contain snap parts interspersed throughout the Velcro section to snap onto mating snap parts on the Velcro back of the wheelchair or wheelchair insert.
Tilting manual wheelchair
Disclosed is a manual wheelchair having a rotating seating area thereby providing a gradation of seating options between an upright and a tilted position. The rotation of the seating area of the disclosed wheelchair from an upright to a tilted position is independent of the position of provided push handles.
