INSECTICIDAL POLYPEPTIDES AND USES THEREOF
The disclosure provides nucleic acids, and variants and fragments thereof, obtained from strains of Bacillus thuringiensis encoding polypeptides having pesticidal activity against insect pests, including Lepidopteran and Coleopteran. Particular embodiments of the disclosure provide isolated nucleic acids encoding pesticidal proteins, pesticidal compositions, DNA constructs, and transformed microorganisms and plants comprising a nucleic acid of the embodiments. These compositions find use in methods for controlling pests, especially plant pests.
INSECTICIDAL POLYPEPTIDES AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to isolated and recombinant polynucleotides encoding polypeptides having insecticidal activity and to host cells comprising same. The invention further relates to the use of the insecticidal proteins and/or nucleic acid sequences encoding same for killing or inhibiting the development of insect pests as well as for conferring insect resistance to plants. The invention further provides compositions comprising the pesticidal polypeptides and/or polynucleotide encoding same and host cells, particularly bacterial cells, expressing the insecticidal polypeptides.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR MITIGATING PEST INFESTATION WITH RHYNCHOPHORUS FERRUGINEUS
dsRNA for preventing, mitigating and/or treating infestation of a plant with red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus), the dsRNA comprising a polynucleotide sequence which is about 85% to about 100% complementary to a segment of a target gene of the red palm weevil, wherein ingestion of the dsRNA polynucleotide by the red palm weevil results in mortality and/or stunting thereof.
Genes, constructs and maize event DP-202216-6
The compositions and methods disclosed relate to DNA compositions, plant cells, seeds, plant parts that relate to maize plants with increased grain yield trait. Also provided are assays for detecting the presence of the maize DP-202216-6 event based on the DNA sequence of the recombinant construct inserted into the maize genome and the DNA sequences flanking the insertion site. Kits and conditions useful in conducting the assays are provided.
RNAi strategies for control of whitefly
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods utilizing double strand ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) to control insects, including whiteflies. More particularly, the present invention relates to several specific synthetic dsRNAs that induce RNA interference (RNAi) in the target insects and methods of delivering the dsRNAs to them, such as allowing feeding on plants treated with, or transgenically expressing, the dsRNAs.
