Rotation lockout for surgical support

Devices, systems, and methods for patient support include arrangement of a patient support top for rotation and a rotation lockout assembly for selectively blocking against rotation of the patient support top.

Bed base frame

A bed base frame assembly of a bed generally comprises a base frame, a plurality of steerable and lockable casters, a lateral support assembly at the first and second sides of the base frame assembly, and an in-line support assembly at the foot end of the base frame assembly. The lateral support assembly may further include: a base frame; a first leg and a second leg rotatably connected to the base frame; a first actuator connected to the first leg and the second leg, wherein the first leg and the second leg rotate from the retracted position to the extended position; a third leg and a fourth leg rotatably connected to the base frame; and a second actuator connected to the third leg and the fourth leg, wherein the third leg and the fourth leg rotate from the retracted position to the extended position.

PATIENT POSITIONING SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH FAIL-SAFE CONNECTOR ATTACHMENT MECHANISM

A patient support apparatus for supporting a patient in a prone position during a surgical procedure is provided, including an open fixed frame suspended above a floor and a pair of spaced opposed radially sliding joints cooperating with the frame, each joint including a virtual pivot point and an arc of motion spaced from the virtual pivot point, the joints being movable along the arc providing a pivot ship mechanism for a pair of pelvic pads attached to the joints. A base for supporting and suspending a patient support structure above the floor, for supporting a patient during a surgical procedure, the base including a pair of spaced opposed vertical translation subassemblies reversibly attachable to a patient support structure, a cross-bar, and a rotation subassembly having two degrees of rotational freedom; wherein a location of each vertical translation subassembly is substantially constant during operation of the patient support structure.

A surgical platform system including a first platform portion, a second platform portion, and a support portion is provided. The support platform supports the first platform portion, and can be moveable relative to a surgical robotic system supporting the second platform portion. With the support portion and the first platform portion positioned relative to the surgical robotic system, the first platform portion supporting a first portion of the patient and the second platform portion supporting a second portion of the patient can be adjusted relative to one another to correspondingly adjust positions/orientations of the first portion and the second portion of the patient. To illustrate, using an end portion supporting the first platform portion, the first platform portion can be rotated about a vertical axis and moved side to side to adjust the position/orientation thereof relative to the second platform portion.
