Patient support systems and methods for assisting caregivers with patient care
A patient support system comprises a patient support apparatus for patients. The patient support apparatus comprises a base and a patient support surface supported by the base. The patient support apparatus also comprises powered devices that perform one or more predetermined functions on the patient support apparatus. Multiple input devices are employed to control the powered devices. The input devices are designed to enable caregivers to cause operation of the powered devices, as needed, while freeing the caregivers to perform other tasks.

BED LIFTING MECHANISM
The present invention relates to the field of lifting mechanisms for beds, and beds incorporating such lifting mechanisms. A lifting mechanism for a bed comprises a leg connecting a foot to a frame for supporting a mattress, the frame defining a support plane; an actuator; a drive linkage mechanism comprising a drive input link pivotally connected to the frame about a first pivot axis and a drive output link pivotally connected to the frame about a second pivot axis; and a leg linkage mechanism comprising a leg input link and a leg output link, the leg input link being pivotally connected to the frame about the second pivot axis and being coupled to the drive output link, and the leg output link being pivotally connected to the frame about a third pivot axis, and wherein a length of the leg input link is shorter than a length of the drive output link.
BED LIFTING MECHANISM
The present invention relates to the field of lifting mechanisms for beds, and beds incorporating such lifting mechanisms. Support apparatus for bariatric person
A support apparatus for a person includes a main cushion having a bottom surface, a top surface to form a support surface for a person supported on the main cushion, and a length having a perimeter that has longitudinal and lateral sides extending around the perimeter. In addition, the support apparatus has at least one sleeve located along one of the sides of the man cushion. The sleeve is configured between a stowed state, where the sleeve is closely adjacent to the one side, and a deployed state, where the sleeve forms an extension of the top surface of the main cushion to thereby increase the width or the length of the support surface.

A patient support apparatus comprising a patient support deck operatively attached to a base with a deck section arranged for movement between first and second positions determined by a deck sensor. A first user interface comprises a screen configured to display visual content including a content portion having first and second content states. A second user interface comprises an access panel including a panel portion with a light module having first and second illumination states. A controller is configured to display the content portion in the first content state and to control the light module in the first illumination state when the deck sensor determines the deck section is in the first section position, and to display the content portion on the screen in the second content state and to control the light module in the second illumination state when the deck section is in the second position.

A patient support apparatus comprising a patient support deck operatively attached to a base with a deck section arranged for movement between first and second positions determined by a deck sensor. A first user interface comprises a screen configured to display visual content including a content portion having first and second content states. PATIENT SUPPORT FORMED FROM AN ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITION INCLUDING A POLYMER BLEND OF SEEPS COPOLYMERS
This disclosure provides a person support formed from an elastomeric composition. The elastomeric composition includes a polymer blend with the polymer blend consisting essentially of a first and second SEEPS copolymer. The first and second SEEPS copolymers are present in the polymer blend in an amount of from 75 to 95 percent by weight and 5 to 25 percent by weight, respectively, based on the total weight of the polymer blend. In addition, the sum of the first and second SEEPS copolymers in the polymer blend is 100 percent by weight. The first and second SEEPS copolymers have a weight average molecular weight of weight of at least 200,000 and 125,000 to 175,000, respectively. The disclosure also provides a patient support for supporting a patient with the patient support formed from the elastomeric composition.
Long term care bed
An adjustable bed includes a fixed frame, an articulating frame supported on the fixed frame, first and second leg assemblies, and first and second actuators. The leg assemblies are configured to raise and lower the fixed frame between a lowered position and a raised position. The actuators are disposed and fully maintained within an interior volume of the fixed frame. The first actuator is fixedly secured at a first end to the head end of the fixed frame and operably coupled to the first leg assembly at a second end. The second actuator is fixedly secured at a first end to the foot end of the fixed frame and operably coupled to the second leg assembly at a second end. The first and second actuators are configured to exert a pulling force to raise the fixed frame and to exert a pushing force to lower the fixed frame.
Long term care bed
