PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH A HYDRAULIC LIFT HAVING POWERED AND MANUAL MODES

A modular patient support apparatus includes linkages which provide advanced kinematics for moving portions of the patient support apparatus. The patient support apparatus includes a cantilevered lift system supporting an upper frame, the cantilevered lift system including a linkage configured to raise the upper frame in a substantially vertical direction, a telescopic cylinder engaged with the linkage, the telescopic extension and retraction of the cylinder causing the linkage to move, and a lift assist assembly, the lift assist assembly being loaded as the cantilevered lift system is lowered to impart a force on the linkage to reduce the load on the telescopic cylinder. The lift system includes an actuation system that operates manually or with power.

Head extension and transport handle system

A patient support apparatus includes a base frame and an upper frame configured to support a mattress. The upper frame has a head portion including a recessed edge. Lift arms are coupled to the upper frame and configured to adjust a position of the upper frame. A first handle is coupled to the head portion on a first side of the recessed edge. A second handle is coupled to the head portion on a second side of the recessed edge. The first and second handles are configured to pivot inboard and toward one another to a lowered position extending over the upper frame adjacent to the recessed edge. An intravenous pole is pivotally coupled to the head portion and is adjustable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The intravenous pole extends along a rear wall of the recessed edge over the upper frame when in the stowed position.

Transmission device of hospital bed

A transmission device of a hospital bed, the hospital bed includes a body, a head, and a bed end. The transmission device contains: a main motor, a connection rod unit, and a driver. The main motor is disposed on a bottom of the body and includes a socket. The connection rod unit includes a first fixing rod connected to the head and a second fixing rod connected to the bed end. The driver is mounted on the main motor and includes an accommodation space, a driving motor, a reducer, a power cable, and a drive shaft. The first case has a first coupling orifice, and the second case has a second coupling orifice. The power cable is connected between the socket and the driving motor so as to supply a power to the driving motor and to lift or descend the head and the bed end synchronously.

POWERED PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS

Powered patient support apparatuses—such as beds, cots, stretchers, or the like—include a plurality of user controls that allow a caregiver to control the steering and/or driving of one or more powered wheels from multiple different locations around the patient support apparatus (e.g. head end, foot end, and/or the sides). The control is carried out by force sensors that detect both an orientation of the applied forces and a magnitude of the applied forces. Translational and/or rotational movement is effectuated, depending upon the magnitude and direction of the forces, as well as the physical location of the applied force relative to a reference point on the support apparatus, such as the center. One or more object sensors may also be included in the support apparatus to assist in steering and/or navigating.

A patient support apparatus comprising a support frame and a patient support deck operatively attached to the support frame. The patient support deck has at least one deck section arranged for movement relative to the support frame. An actuator is arranged to move the deck section between an initial configuration and one or more raised configurations relative to the support frame. A link supports the deck section for movement with respect to the support frame. The link has a first end pivotally attached to the support frame, a second end pivotally attached to the deck section, and a protruding stop formed between the first end and the second end arranged to abut the deck section so as to prevent the actuator from moving the deck section beyond a maximum raised configuration.
