Graphene fiber and prepartion method thereof
A graphene fiber and a preparation method thereof, where the graphene fiber is a composite fiber of metal nanowire doped graphene fiber, and principal components of the composite fiber are graphene and metal nanowires, a mass ratio of metal nanowires is 0.1%-50%, the graphene is in a form of sheet, and both the metal nanowires and graphene sheets are arranged in parallel along an axial direction of the graphene fiber. The metal nanowire doped graphene fiber is a new type of a high performance multi-functional fiber material, which achieves a significant improvement in electrical conductivity of graphene fibers through doping of metal nanowires and meanwhile demonstrates excellent tensile strength and toughness. The metal nanowire doped graphene fiber has great potential application value in a plurality of fields, for example, it is used as a lightweight flexible wire.

Non-woven graphene fiber fabric and preparing method thereof
A non-woven graphene fiber fabric and a preparing method therefor is provided. The non-woven fabric is formed by disorderly piled graphene fibers which are bonded with each other. The fibers are overlapped into a permeable network for passing through light, liquid or gas. The non-woven graphene fiber fabric is completely formed by graphene fibers without polymeric materials serving as skeleton or adhesive, and has good mechanical strength and flexibility. After reduction, the network structure built by the graphene fibers has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and can be utilized as a high-performance fabric with multiple functions.

INSERTION OF CATALYST INTO DRY CARBON FIBERS PRIOR TO RESIN IMPREGNATION
Systems and methods are provided for fabrication of enhanced carbon fiber laminates that utilize encapsulated catalyst. One embodiment is a method that includes acquiring a batch of dry fibers, and acquiring a batch of catalyst capsules that each comprise catalyst that accelerates polymerization of monomers of a resin, and a shell that encapsulates the catalyst and liquefies at a curing temperature. The method further includes interspersing the catalyst capsules among the dry fibers, and impregnating the fibers with the resin after interspersing the catalyst capsules with the fibers.

Graphene optic fiber
A deep-UV optical circuit includes a laser emitting light wavelengths () below 250 nm. The circuit also includes a graphene optical cable formed of an optic core formed of a gas or vacuum having an index of refraction ranging between 1.000 and 1.002 and a cladding layer formed of a graphene cylinder made of a contiguous lattice of covalently-bonded carbon atoms surrounding the optic core. The circuit also includes an optical detector circuit configured to detect the light. The graphene optical cable optically couples the laser to the optical detector circuit, where the optical cable transmits light wavelengths () below 250 nm as graphene has an index of refraction less than 1 for light wavelengths () below 250 nm.
