A take-off arm is provided for a bale opener for taking off fiber flocks from fiber bales. The take-off arm includes a housing, and a take-off unit having an axial length within the housing. A pressing element is connected to the housing via only load cells such that a contact force (F) of the take-off arm on the fiber bales is continuously measured by an evaluation of the load cells situated between the pressing element and the housing.

A process for calibrating the loading force of a breaker element of a bale opener on a bale group includes: (a) setting a force sensor used to measure the loading force at no load; (b) lowering the breaker element onto the bale group until reaching a loading force that is at least twice as high as an upper loading force at which the breaker element receives a lift command during normal breaking operation; (c) relieving the load on the breaker element; (d) setting the loading force at a negative value which includes signal distortion influences; and (e) lowering the breaker element until the loading force measured by the load sensor reaches at least the level of the upper loading force.

A fiber processing system for opening and mixing fiber material includes a plurality of bale openers for opening fiber bales. Conveying devices are arranged downstream of the bale openers for mixing and conveying the opened fiber material to a downstream processing device. The bale openers are divided into at least two opener groups, wherein each opener group produces a respective fiber mixture. Each opener group is allocated one or more of the conveying devices arranged in such a manner that the respective fiber mixtures are transported directly away from their associated opener group in different directions and the fiber mixtures are subsequently combined before or in the processing device into an overall fiber mixture.

A fiber processing system for opening and mixing fiber material includes a plurality of bale openers for opening fiber bales. A method for recycling a nonwoven fabric, including: a waste nonwoven fabric pulverization step of pulverizing a waste nonwoven fabric to obtain pulverized waste nonwoven fabric particles; a material mixing step of dispersing and mixing the pulverized nonwoven fabric particles and a filler in water to obtain a nonwoven fabric mixture; a raw material mixing step of adding a fixing agent for agglomeration of the pulverized waste nonwoven fabric particles and the filler to the nonwoven fabric mixture, followed by mixing, to form a raw material; a draining step of separating and removing water from the raw material to form a recycled nonwoven fabric sheet; a first lamination step of laminating the plurality of recycled nonwoven fabric sheets to form a laminate; and a compressing/dehydrating step of compressing and dehydrating the laminate.

A bale opening device (100) for opening bales wrapped and/or tied with wrapping material comprises a supporting structure (102, 102A) for supporting the bale to be opened, and a gripping mechanism (103) to grip the wrapping material, and again to pull it away from the bale. In addition the device comprises a removing means (101, 101a, 101b) taking and gripping the wrapping material from the gripping mechanism. The removing means is then actuated so to remove the wrapping material from the bale and the gripping means. The removing means (101) and the gripping means (103) are mutually arranged so to enable the gripping mechanism returning back towards the supporting structure essentially at the same when the removing means is actuated to remove said wrapping material.
