AN APPARATUS FOR OPENING TUFFS OF FIBRE MATERIALS USING PRESSURIZED GASEOUS FLUID AND METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus and method for opening lumps and tuffs of fibre material in blow room of a spinning facility is disclosed. The disclosed method and apparatus use bursts of pressurized gaseous fluid which results in better opening of fibre lumps and reduced damage or breakage of the fibres. The gaseous fluid may be air or a gas or a mixture of air and gases. One or more nozzles 206 arranged in one or more rows are used to direct one or more controlled jets of a pressurized gaseous fluid at the tuffs/lumps 210 of fibre material entering through an opening 204 of at least one chamber 202, which results in opening of the tuffs to smaller and more opened tufts of fibre as well as in separation of foreign material trapped in the lumps. The controlled jets of the pressurized gaseous fluid, such as air, may be bursts of short durations.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING RAW COTTON OF MACHINE-HARVESTED LONG-STAPLE COTTON WITH MODAL LENGTH OF GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 35MM
The present disclosure discloses a method for producing raw cotton of machine-harvested long-staple cotton with a modal length of greater than or equal to 35 mm, including the steps: planting sea-island long-staple cotton and machining seed cotton, wherein planting the sea-island long-staple cotton includes preparation before machine harvesting, defoliation and ripening, choosing a cotton variety, etc.; and machining the seed cotton includes preparation before seed cotton ginning, mechanical separation of cotton seeds and raw cotton, and finishing the separated raw cotton. Raw cotton fibers obtained by the method of the present disclosure have main quality indexes that: a fiber length is 36.5-38.4 mm, a specific strength is 42.3-46.1 cN/tex, a uniformity is 86.2-87.0%, a foreign-fiber content is 0.2-0.4 g/t, and an impurity content is 2.6-3.4%. According to the method, not only can impurities and foreign fibers be effectively removed, but also mechanical damage to the raw cotton of the machine-harvested long-staple cotton with the modal length of greater than or equal to 35 mm is relatively small.

Recording of trash in a fiber preparation system
A method and associated device and system are provided for recording trash in a fiber preparation system having a plurality of cleaning points and a transport line that is connected to the cleaning points and is guided into a central container connected to a negative pressure source for generating transport air. The trash is suctioned from each cleaning point through the transport line with the transport air to the central container and is feed separately from each cleaning point to the central container. In the central container, the trash is separated from the transport air and transferred into a scale for weighing. With the trash located on the scale, an optical recording of the trash is made with a camera directed to an interior of the scale.
