20230117017 · 2023-04-20 ·

A product bag suspension assembly includes a rod having a first end, a second end, and a body extending between the first end and the second end. A platform is operatively coupled to the second end of the rod and defines an aperture arrangement configured to receive a mounting device of a product bag. The rod is configured to suspend the product bag in an upright position when the product bag is coupled to the platform.

FLUID SOURCE FOR SUPPLYING FLUID TO THERAPY DEVICES

A fluid source comprises a connector assembly for connecting a fluid supply device to either a first therapy device or to a second therapy device. A controller automatically provides a first configuration of a user interface associated with a first therapy when a supply connector is operatively coupled to the first therapy device and provides a second configuration of the user interface associated with a second therapy, different than the first configuration, when the supply connector is operatively coupled to the second therapy device. A hanger assembly is provided to hang the fluid source on different support structures. The fluid source also comprises a housing with a watershed region to shed liquid away from the user interface.

MEDICAL DEVICE SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR LITTER

An apparatus for mounting and securing medical/surgical devices may be attached to a litter 40. The medical/surgical devices may include, for example, IV holders 186, aspirators 144, cardiac monitors 148, defibrillators 150, infusion pumps 152, ventilators 146 and other devices. The apparatus frame assembly 10 includes rails 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 46, 48, 50, 52 having cross-sections of standard surgical rails, for attachment of slidable rail clamps 84, 104. Medical device mounts 108, 110, 112 are attached to the slidable rail clamps. The medical device mounts have height and/or rotational adjustment to improve patient access and view. The apparatus may be mounted longitudinally anywhere along the litter to maximize access to the patient.

PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING AN EXTENSION

A patient support apparatus having a support structure with a primary support surface for a patient, and an extension manually movable by a user relative to the support structure from a stowed position to an extended position so that the extension provides auxiliary support for the patient in the extended position. A locking device is operable to releasably hold the extension relative to the support structure in the stowed position and the extended position. A release mechanism is operable to manipulate the locking device to release the extension for movement relative to the support structure, and is movable with the extension from the stowed position to the extended position.

Head extension and transport handle system

A patient support apparatus includes a base frame and an upper frame configured to support a mattress. The upper frame has a head portion including a recessed edge. Lift arms are coupled to the upper frame and configured to adjust a position of the upper frame. A first handle is coupled to the head portion on a first side of the recessed edge. A second handle is coupled to the head portion on a second side of the recessed edge. The first and second handles are configured to pivot inboard and toward one another to a lowered position extending over the upper frame adjacent to the recessed edge. An intravenous pole is pivotally coupled to the head portion and is adjustable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The intravenous pole extends along a rear wall of the recessed edge over the upper frame when in the stowed position.

Person support apparatus barrier

A person support apparatus includes a base, a controller, and a barrier having at least one electrical device. The base includes mounting structures for releasably mounting the barrier to the base. A first electrical connector is in communication with the at least one electrical device and mounted to the barrier. A second electrical connector is in communication with the controller and mounted at one of the mounting structures for connection with the first electrical connector when the barrier is mounted to the base at the mounting structures.

Method and apparatus for upgrading a patient support apparatus to include an integrated patient therapy device

A therapy system includes a patient support apparatus and a pneumatic therapy device that is coupleable to the patient support apparatus. The therapy device may receive power and air flow from the patient support apparatus.

Mechanical lifts and related methods of lifting medical fluid containers

A mechanical lift includes a housing defining a series of vertical adjustment notches, an adjustment block disposed within the housing, a hook extending from the adjustment block and configured to support a hanging load, a stopper supported by the adjustment block and movable between retracted and extended positions, and a spring disposed within the housing and exerting an upward force against the adjustment block to mechanically lift the adjustment block and the hook extending therefrom from a first vertical position at a first notch of the series of vertical adjustment notches to a second notch of the series of vertical adjustment notches when the stopper is in the retracted position. In the retracted position, the stopper is disengaged from the housing. In the extended position, the stopper is engaged with a selected notch to lock a vertical position of the adjustment block and the hook extending therefrom.

Automated mounting and positioning apparatus for increased user independence

An accessibility-enhancing joint module may include a housing, a powered motor disposed within the housing, a rotatable receiving member operatively connected to the powered motor, a coupling element configured to attach to the receiving member, and a control board disposed within the housing and operatively connected to the powered motor, wherein the coupling element is disposed external to the housing. An accessibility-enhancing arm assembly may include a first joint module and a second joint module and a tubular arm member attached to the proximal mounting portion of the first joint module and the proximal mounting portion of the second joint module, each joint module including a housing having a body portion and a proximal mounting portion, a powered motor disposed within the housing, and a rotatable receiving member operatively connected to the powered motor. The joint module(s) and/or the arm assembly may be operable by a variety of accessible controls.
