User module for a patient support apparatus

A user module for a patient support is provided. The user module is coupled to a patient support barrier, such as a siderail or a footboard.

Adjustable patient support apparatus for assisted egress and ingress

An adjustable patient support apparatus comprises a base, a support frame, and a patient support deck. The patient support deck comprises articulating deck sections, such as a leg section, seat section, and a back section pivotally coupled together. One or more actuators may be configured to move the leg and/or back section between a lowered position and one or more raised positions. The seat section may include one or more articulating seats to assist with ingress and egress from the patient support apparatus. The one or more seats may be articulated manually or electrically via a lever or actuator.

SURFACE ADAPTATION FOR PATIENT PRONING

A patient proning system includes a surface assembly configured to be positioned on a frame of a support apparatus. The surface assembly includes a pneumatic system that includes bladders arranged in multiple zones and a pump in fluid communication with the bladders. The pump is configured to adjust the bladders between deployed and non-deployed conditions. A controller is configured to selectively control the pneumatic system in at least one of a standard mode and a prone mode based on a patient support position. A control panel is communicatively coupled to the controller. The controller is configured to generate at least one prone aid notification to be displayed on a graphical user interface of the control panel. The prone aid notification provides at least one of a reminder, instruction, alert, or information for assisting a caregiver in positioning a patient for the prone mode.

HOSPITAL BED HAVING PATIENT ASSOCIATION CONTROL

A patient support apparatus, such as a hospital bed, communicates with an electronic medical record (EMR) system in healthcare facility. The hospital bed includes a patient support structure to support a patient, a graphical user interface coupled to the patient support structure, and control circuitry coupled to the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface displays at least one input that may be used by a caregiver to chart data into an electronic medical record (EMR) of a patient supported by the patient support structure.

A system for use with a bed having a frame and a supporting surface includes a sheet having a bottom surface placed above the supporting surface of the bed, a top surface, and a plurality of tether straps connected to and extending from the sheet. Each tether strap is configured for connection to the bed. The bottom surface is at least partially formed of a low friction material, and the top surface is at least partially formed of a high friction material, such that the top surface provides greater slipping resistance than the bottom surface. The tether straps include at least two pairs of tether straps, with one pair connected proximate a top edge of the sheet and another pair connected proximate a bottom edge of the sheet. The sheet may further include a sliding member on the bottom surface to assist in lateral sliding of the sheet.

Bed system

A bed system includes: an imaging device; a bed on which the imaging device is to be installed; and a controller configured to process an image acquired by the imaging device to predict a possibility of overturning of a user, in which, when it is determined that a state of the user is a first state, the controller predicts the possibility of overturning of the user based on a first parameter, when it is determined that the state of the user is a second state, the controller predicts the possibility of overturning of the user based on a second parameter, the first state is a state of the user different from the second state, and the first parameter is different from the second parameter.

PATIENT SUPPORT USABLE WITH BARIATRIC PATIENTS

A patient support includes a height adjustable patient support deck, at least one guard structure mounted for movement relative to the patient support deck, and a latch operable to lock the position of the guard structure in a raised position. The patient support further includes a CPR release operable to lower the head deck section of the patient support deck to place the patient support in an emergency state and further operable to release the latch to allow the guard rail structure to lower or be lowered from the raised position.

Hospital bed having drainage bag sensor

A patient bed includes a drainage bag sensor. The patient bed includes, for example, a frame configured to support a patient, a drainage bag holder coupled to the frame and configured to support a drainage bag, and a sensor to detect a presence of the drainage bag being supported by the drainage bag holder.

Patient Support Apparatus Having Bearing Arrangement For Deck Extension Assembly

A patient support apparatus comprises a support frame and a patient support deck carried by the support frame. The patient support deck has a foot section configured to articulate relative to the support frame. A deck extension assembly comprises an extension frame and a deck extension section configured to extend and retract relative to the support frame. One more bearings are arranged between the deck extension section and the support frame. The deck extension section is movably coupled to the extension frame so that the deck extension section is able to move relative to the extension frame and relative to the foot section when the deck extension section extends and retracts relative to the support frame such that the deck extension section maintains contact with the bearing when extending and retracting relative to the support frame.
