The individual detections zones are arranged in defined positions relative to at least two different yarn paths of the yarn at a workstation depending on changed states of the yarn at the workstation so that at least one of the parameters is measured in each of the detections zones.

The present invention relates to a textile machine having a plurality of workstations of the same type, which produce packages, more particularly cross-wound packages, and having one thread accumulator each and at least one service cart, which can be moved along the workstations. The present invention also relates to a service cart for a textile machine. In order to provide a textile machine having a plurality of workstations having thread accumulators, in the case of which textile machine fault states that occur in connection with the thread accumulator can be automatically eliminated, there is provision for the service cart to have malfunction-eliminating devices for automatically eliminating fault states that occur in the thread accumulator and/or can be attributed to the thread accumulator.

The present invention relates to a textile machine having a plurality of workstations of the same type, which produce packages, more particularly cross-wound packages, and having one thread accumulator each and at least one service cart, which can be moved along the workstations. The present invention also relates to a service cart for a textile machine. In order to provide a textile machine having a plurality of workstations having thread accumulators, in the case of which textile machine fault states that occur in connection with the thread accumulator can be automatically eliminated, there is provision for the service cart to have malfunction-eliminating devices for automatically eliminating fault states that occur in the thread accumulator and/or can be attributed to the thread accumulator.

A method for detecting a characteristic of a textile or metal thread fed to an operating machine, by the generation of a light signal impacting the thread to create a shadow on an optical sensor device connected to means for monitoring a characteristic of the thread on the basis of an electrical signal emitted by such sensor device as a function of the shadow generated on said sensor device by the thread itself, the characteristic being a physical characteristic of the thread such as its diameter or a characteristic of the feed of the thread when in movement, such as its speed. The signal may be detected in analog mode or a digital mode, the signal detected in the digital mode providing real time calibration of the signal detected in analog mode to generate an electrical signal used by the monitoring means to monitor the characteristics of the thread.

A method for detecting a characteristic of a textile or metal thread fed to an operating machine, by the generation of a light signal impacting the thread to create a shadow on an optical sensor device connected to means for monitoring a characteristic of the thread on the basis of an electrical signal emitted by such sensor device as a function of the shadow generated on said sensor device by the thread itself, the characteristic being a physical characteristic of the thread such as its diameter or a characteristic of the feed of the thread when in movement, such as its speed. The signal may be detected in analog mode or a digital mode, the signal detected in the digital mode providing real time calibration of the signal detected in analog mode to generate an electrical signal used by the monitoring means to monitor the characteristics of the thread.

Method for monitoring a textile machine having a plurality of workstations and a textile machine having a plurality of workstations, more particularly spinning positions, the textile machine having: a textile machine control unit, which is designed to capture different production figures of the individual workstations and to check whether the production figures exceed specified limit values; an input unit for inputting the limit values and selecting at least one production figure to be checked out of the set of production figures to be checked; and an indicating unit, which is connected to the textile machine control unit in order to optically output the result of the check of the at least one selected production figure to be checked for exceeding the allocated, specified limit value. In order to provide a method for monitoring a textile machine having a plurality of workstations and a textile machine having a plurality of workstations, said method and said textile machine enabling quick detection and identification of workstations whose production figures exceed specified limit values, the indicating unit has a plurality of signal units, which are arranged on the textile machine control unit and/or the workstations in question, are associated with the individual workstations and are designed in such a way that the result of the check of the at least one selected production figure to be checked for exceeding the allocated, specified limit value is indicated by means of different light signals.
