Patient Positioning Device
A patient positioning device including a pivot rod configured with a first portion extending in a first direction, and a second portion extending in a second direction substantially laterally from a top end of the first portion, a clamp portion configured to be coupled to a portion of a medical bed, and having a receiving portion configured to receive and clamp the first portion of the pivot rod in place such that the pivot rod is adjustable along and about an axis of the first direction when not clamped, and a swivel plate coupled to a distal end of the second portion of the pivot rod and configured such that the swivel plate is rotatable about another axis offset from, and substantially parallel to, the axis of the first direction, wherein the swivel plate is configured to provide support to maintain a patient in a desired position.
SAFETY BED FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
A safety bed for children and adults who may have special needs includes a frame having a base frame, an upper frame and four vertical poles between the base frame and the upper frame at their respective corners; a mattress support structure supported by the base frame; and an enclosure attached to the frame, said enclosure comprising a ceiling, a base and four walls. A mattress within the enclosure is supported by the mattress support structure so that a sheet may be attached to the four walls of the enclosure at a position approximately equal to the top of the mattress. The enclosure may include a variety of device for monitoring and communicating with an occupant of the bed, including a camera, a light source and other sensors that may be remotely controlled over a network.
Pediatric Support Module For Patient Support Apparatus
A patient support apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a head end, a foot end, a base, and a patient support deck. The patient support deck comprises a fowler section at the head end and a foot section at the foot end. The fowler section is capable of articulating relative to the base. The patient support apparatus further comprises a pediatric support module comprising a seat section disposed between the fowler section and the foot section. The pediatric support module is integrated into the patient support deck and comprises a lid and a body.
Portable enclosure for a bed
An enclosure for enclosing an area including a frame and a canopy assembly. The frame includes an upper laterally-extending support, a first upstanding support coupled to a first end of the upper support, and a second upstanding support coupled to a second end of the upper support. The upper support is length-adjustable. The canopy assembly is connectable to the frame for defining an enclosed area, and includes a plurality of collars removably connectable to the frame, and at least one panel holdable in a plane defined by the supports of the frame. The circumference of at least one such collar is adjustable so that when the length of the upper support is adjusted, the collar circumference can be adjusted to accommodate the change in length.
PORTABLE CONFINEMENT APPARATUS
A portable confinement apparatus having an enclosure for confining a person upon a mattress. The enclosure is formed of a flexible material having a base face, at least four side faces and a roof which define a void, with a pocket for the mattress. A frame has four base members arranged in a rectangle with two bridge members, arranged over the base members. At least part of each base member is integrally secured to the base section and at least part of each bridge member is integrally secured to the roof section. The enclosure is provided with at least two closable openings on different sides. An opening may extend into the roof section. Support struts and a stabilisation system are also described to increase stability and prevent tipping. Members may be telescopic to increase the portability of the apparatus.
SLEEP CHAMBER
An enclosure for installation on a bed. The enclosure includes an enclosure-frame, an attachment-bracket, a foldable-board and a canopy. In some embodiments, the enclosure includes a power-supply, vents, fans, speakers and lights. The enclosure is useful for providing a user with a peaceful night sleep by preventing external noises and light from disrupting the user.
Support surface system for securing objects
An apparatus has conforming arms each respectively attached to a support surface in a pattern for cooperatively receiving an object. Actuators respectively position the plurality of conforming arms between a disengaged state to receive the object and an engaged state to contact the object at a respective contact area to immobilize the object. A control system selectively controls each of the actuators to cause the respective one of the conforming arms to curve inwardly toward the object to cooperatively exert a grasping force upon the object such that only a fraction of total force required to immobilize the object is applied to the object by each individual conforming arm. A selected grasping force of a selected one of the conforming arms corresponds to a relative fragility of the respective contact area.
Care unit
A care unit can include a base member and a plurality of petal members. Each petal member can extend from a first end, engaged with the base member, to a second end, spaced from the base member. Inward-facing surfaces of at least two petal members and the base member can collectively define a cavity for receiving at least a portion of the patient. The care unit can further include one or both of a therapy component, configured to provide a treatment to the patient, or a sensor component, configured to monitor a condition of the patient. The therapy component can be coupled to, or integrated with, one or both of the base member or a petal member and can include an optical light source, a thermal energy source, an oxygen or air source, a sound wave source, a sound wave-cancelling source, or a pulsating source, for example.
PROTECTIVE ISOLATION HOOD
The present disclosure relates to a protective isolation hood for safe transportation of subjects, comprising a fixed base cover, a rotating auxiliary cover, a base cover sliding seat and a guide rail supporting base. The guide rail supporting base is connected to the base cover sliding seat, the fixed base cover is disposed on the base cover sliding seat, and the rotating auxiliary cover is rotationally arranged on the fixed base cover. A first isolation soft film is arranged at the end of the rotating auxiliary cover away from the fixed base cover, and the fixed base cover, the rotating auxiliary cover and the first isolation soft film constitute a protection space. A filter box is arranged on the fixed base cover, is located in the protection space, and is provided with a disinfection filter screen. The protective isolation hood enables isolation to be maintained throughout transportation of the subject.
