A privacy screen with rapid deploy, mount, and storage features. The privacy screen comprises a semi-rigid frame supporting a cover. The privacy screen is held in place with tension or friction against bed side rails. The privacy screen is portable, provides privacy to a patient, and allows patient access by a health care professional.

Support Surface System for Securing Objects

An apparatus has conforming arms each respectively attached to a support surface in a pattern for cooperatively receiving an object. Actuators respectively position the plurality of conforming arms between a disengaged state to receive the object and an engaged state to contact the object at a respective contact area to immobilize the object. A control system selectively controls each of the actuators to cause the respective one of the conforming arms to curve inwardly toward the object to cooperatively exert a grasping force upon the object such that only a fraction of total force required to immobilize the object is applied to the object by each individual conforming arm. A selected grasping force of a selected one of the conforming arms corresponds to a relative fragility of the respective contact area.

Patient Restraint System And Methods For Assisting A Caregiver With Patient Restraint

A restraint apparatus operable by a user for restraining a limb of a person to a restraining point including a cuff having a first end and a second end. The cuff is operable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The cuff is secured around the limb of the person in the closed configuration and the first end and the second end are separated from each other in the open configuration. At least one tether is attached to the cuff. The tether comprises a coupler to couple the cuff to the restraining point when the cuff is in the closed configuration. The cuff is wearable by a least a portion of a hand of the user in the open configuration.

Patient support apparatus for treating patients presenting behavioral health indicia

A patient support apparatus for use in treating patients with behavioral health indicia. The patient support apparatus includes a support structure with a patient support deck defining a patient support surface having one or more ligature risk locations arranged outside of a ligature safety zone defined relative to the patient support surface. A sensor system is coupled to the support structure to generate data representing load acting on the support structure. A controller is disposed in communication with the sensor system and is configured to issue a ligature risk event alert in response to the data generated by the sensor system satisfying a predetermined load criteria indicating a distribution of load acting on the support structure outside of the ligature safety zone for a predetermined period.

Bed restraining apparatus and method of use thereof
12390381 · 2025-08-19 ·

Bed restraining apparatus is provided including at least one bed rail protective portion for at least partly covering a surface of a bed rail in use, and at least one bed restraining portion for location over at least part of a bed in use, so as to be located between opposing sides of a bed in use and/or so as to be located between bed rails on opposing sides of a bed in use. Thee at least one bed rail protective portion is arranged so as to at least partly cover an inwardly facing side wall or side wall frame member of the bed rail in use.

Bathing robot device

The present invention relates to a bathing robot device which: can perform the bathing, washing, cleaning, drying, skin caring, disinfecting, or sterilizing of an object; can use technology such as electronic control, artificial intelligence, or IT to autonomously perform corresponding functions without depending on only manpower; and can interact/communicate with an external device. The bathing robot device performs functions of: in a state in which the object is fixed without moving at one position, cleaning or washing the object by spraying water and a cleaning agent to the object; sensing ending of the cleaning or the washing, and drying the object by blowing air; and then, if necessary, spraying a lotion, a medicine, etc. Further, the bathing robot also performs a function of washing and drying an external device such as an object transfer device or a bathing table.

The invention provides an anti-slip and quick-detach fastener structure for using with an annular strap which comprises a fixed end, a first inner edge, a free end, and a second inner edge. The anti-slip and quick-detach fastener structure comprises a fixing ring and a dynamic friction member. The fixing ring comprises a first fixing section, a second fixing section opposite to the first fixing section, and an inserting space. The dynamic friction member comprises a first friction section surrounded by the free end to constrain the second inner edge, and an operating section connected with the first friction section. The first friction section and the second fixing section form a dynamic friction state to jointly clamp the free end, and the first friction section loses the dynamic friction state with the second fixing section and releases the free end when the first friction section is forced to rotate.

PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS SYSTEM

A patient support apparatus includes a support surface, a control panel, a network transceiver, and a controller. The controller is adapted to send one or more messages to a server that indicates at least one of the following: an incorrect passcode was entered into the control panel; a correct passcode was entered into the control panel; a post-passcode-entry window of time expired; a microphone detected a sound level exceeding a threshold; the microphone detected a keyword; a block control was activated on the patient support apparatus; an agitation level of the patient; a patient activation of a nurse call control; a status of a patient restraint; a status of a restraint attachment cover; or movement of the patient support apparatus as detected by an accelerometer. A software application executed by a server may be configured to instruct a display to display an indicator relating to any of these messages.
