20180291535 · 2018-10-11 ·

A system and method of generating a coiled actuator fiber. The method includes twisting a fiber to generate a twisted fiber, wrapping the twisted fiber around a core to generate a coil in the twisted fiber; and removing at least a portion of the core to generate a coiled actuator fiber. In some aspects that fiber can be a yarn with one or more fibers or a fiber comprising a single elongated element. In some aspects, a portion of the core includes a removable sacrificial portion. The removable sacrificial portion can be dissolvable in a solvent or physically removable. In some aspects, the core further includes a non-dissolvable portion that is not dissolvable and generating a coiled actuator can include removing the sacrificial portion by treating a twisted fiber on the core to remove the sacrificial portion and leaving the non-dissolvable portion.

MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SINGLE-MATERIAL IRREGULAR EXTENSION MULTIPLE LONG-ACTING FUNCTIONAL TEXTURED YARN, THE TEXTURED YARN THEREOF, AND THE FABRIC MADE WITH THE TEXTURED YARN THEREOF
20240318361 · 2024-09-26 ·

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a unique textured yarn by upgrading the equipment and processing the modified single-material precursor, the textured yarn thereof, and the fabric made with the textured yarn thereof. According to the method, titanium dioxide is added into a precursor of PET pre-oriented yarn with single filament DPF<0.5 to form the first precursor. Then, the first precursor is fed into a flat conveying roller, and then into a differential roller, and then into an accelerating roller to form a dark and light double colored textured yarn with linen-like appearance and tone. Then, the dark and light double colored textured yarn is conveyed to a heater for heating and setting, and then conveyed to a false twisting machine for processing. Finally, it is conveyed to a nozzle for spraying.

Method for manufacturing a multi-ply separable filament yarns and multi-ply separable textured yarn

A method of manufacturing multi-ply separable textured yarn, the method comprising, passing a multi-ply separable interlaced filament yarn through a texturizing unit to form a multi-ply separable draw textured yarn, wherein the multi-ply separable interlaced filament yarn is separable in to at least two separable interlaced filament yarn, wherein the interlacing of the filaments within each separable interlaced filament yarn is retained during further processing of the yarn to fabric and in the fabric.

POLYAMIDE FIBER WITH IMPROVED COMFORT MANAGEMENT, PROCESS THEREOF AND ARTICLE MADE THEREFROM

The present invention relates to a polyamide fiber with improved comfort management properties. The present invention also discloses a method for obtaining such fiber and articles made therefrom. The polyamide fiber is produced from a hygroscopic polyamide in a multilobal cross section profile. The hygroscopic polyamide fiber is produced preferably from polyamide 5.X, X being an integer from 4 to 16. Most preferably polyamide 5.6, which is a biobased polyamide obtained from pentamethylenediamine and is derived from sugar-based renewable feedstocks. The present invention thus discloses a polyamide fiber and articles made therefrom for sportswear and leisurewear applications, with improved water absorption, wicking and drying properties, wherein the sweat is transported away from the skin and is quickly dried, thereby reducing the wet sensation and chill during activity. The present invention provides freshness and comfort by maintaining a pleasant skin temperature and microclimate.

VARIABLE COLOR OR TEXTURE EXPRESSION KNITTING, WEAVING, AND LAMINATING SYSTEM, METHOD AND FABRIC
20180251917 · 2018-09-06 ·

Disclosed is a method of producing a variable-color textile, the method comprising: providing a plurality of filaments into a commercial textile-production machine, the plurality filaments having at least a first color and a second color; and twisting at least one of the plurality of filaments to display a first color on a first side of a fabric surface and a second color on an opposite side of the fabric surface.

FILAMENTARY CORE FOR AN ELASTIC YARN, ELASTIC COMPOSITE YARN, TEXTILE FABRIC AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAID ELASTIC YARN

A filamentary core (3) for an elastic composite yarn (1), particularly for an elastic textile composite yarn, comprising at least two elastic performance filaments (11, 13), each of the at least two elastic performance filaments capable of being stretched at least about 2 times its package length and having at least 90% up to 100% elastic recovery after having being released from a stretching 2 times its package length.

COTTON-LIKE KNITTED FABRIC, POLYESTER FILAMENT AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

The present invention provides a cotton-like knitted fabric, a polyester filament and a production method. The fabric is a weft-knitted fabric obtained by material containing at least above 45% by weight of polyester filaments; the pore area distribution of the fabric is centered on 6000 to 22000 m.sup.2 and has a statistical variability of above 2a, and the coefficient of variation of the pore area is greater than 40%. The polyester filament is formed from alternatingly arranged twist regions in a false-twist direction and twist regions in an opposite direction, wherein the twist regions in the false-twist direction have an average length of less than 0.3 cm, a coefficient of variation of length of above 60%, a diameter that is 30% to 70% of the diameter of the twist regions in the opposite direction, and a total length that is 20.0% to 40.0% of the total length of the polyester filaments.
