COOLING DRUM FOR COOLING A THREAD PLUG
20180187346 · 2018-07-05 ·

The invention relates to a cooling drum for cooling a thread plug in texturing process. The cooling drum comprises a drivable cooling jacket, on the circumference of which at least one air-permeable guide track is designed for guiding the thread plug. A suction chamber is provided in the interior of the cooling jacket, which chamber is connected via a suction connection to a vacuum source. In this way, a stationary shielding means is provided, which is arranged between the cooling jacket and the suction chamber. In order to produce a suction flow which is as targeted as possible and affected by little loss, according to the invention, the shielding means is formed by a closed sealing jacket which is placed substantially coaxially spaced apart with the cooling jacket and has an air slot in the region of the guide track.

Roller for a wire-feed device

This invention relates to a roller for a wire-feed device having a main cylindrical body forming a hub designed to be driven in rotation about its axis of symmetry, a peripheral cylindrical structure forming an idler roller mounted round the perimeter of the main body, and a means for the cylindrical structure to be driven in rotation by the main body. Moreover, the internal diameter of the cylindrical structure is greater than the external diameter of the main body so as to create a space between the cylindrical structure and the main body to enable a displacement of the cylindrical structure in relation to the main body with a misalignment of the axis of rotation of the cylindrical structure in relation to the axis of rotation of the main body.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING CRIMPED MULTIFILAMENT SYNTHETIC YARN
20180119314 · 2018-05-03 ·

A method for producing at least one crimped multifilament synthetic yarn through the use of a texturing process, wherein a stream of heated gaseous medium is brought into a texturing channel (1), (2), (3), wherein synthetic filaments (4), (5), (6) are displaced and deformed by the heated gaseous medium in the texturing channel (1), (2), (3), wherein both the temperature and the flow rate of the gaseous medium are measured, and wherein the heat flow is regulated. To this end, the device comprises a regulating device (50) and, for each texturing channel (1), (2), (3), at least one temperature sensor (60), (61), (62) and a flow sensor (57), (58), (59).

Systems and methods for improving and controlling yarn texture

A system and method for automated control and improvement of the consistency of yarn texture in a yarn system. The system and method are configured to monitor, improve and/or control the operating conditions of the yarn system. A plurality of sensors sense the operating conditions and send the sensed conditions to a processor. The processor monitoring the system can cause adjustments to the operating conditions to be made if a condition is outside of a predetermined tolerance.

METHOD OF MAKING AN ACETATE TOW BAND WITH SHAPE AND SIZE USED FOR CODING

Disclosed are fibers comprising identification fibers which can be used for tracking and tracing fibers, yarns, fiber bands, and/or articles comprising the fibers through at least part of the supply chain. Each identification fiber exhibits at least one distinct feature. Each group of distinguishable identification fibers can exhibit a taggant cross-section shape, a taggant cross-section size, or combination of the same taggant cross-section shape and same taggant cross-section size. The distinct features and the number of fibers in each group of distinguishable identification fibers can represent at least one supply chain component of the fibers. The distinct features can be detectable in an article comprising the fibers.
