Polyethylene fiber, manufacturing method thereof, and manufacturing apparatus thereof
The present disclosure relates to a polyethylene fiber and a method for preparing thereof, and more particularly to a polyethylene fiber, a method for preparing thereof, and an apparatus for preparing thereof, which has excellent wearing and touch sensation with processing convenience into woven fabrics and knitted fabrics in use in applied products by reducing the stiffness of fiber having the same physical properties using an enforced necking method in a spinning process.
Stabilization of slit absorbent fabric edges
Disclosed are the cut edges of an absorbent fabric comprising at least 45% and less than about 90% cellulosic or natural fibers, and a fusible component being stabilized by fusing the fusible component with an arrangement of spaced lines or spaced areas extending from the cut edges, and optionally over the entire absorbent fabric.
Stabilized fiber bundle and method of manufacturing carbon fiber bundle
A method manufactures a flame-retardant fiber bundle by flame retarding treatment of a polyacrylonitrile-based precursor fiber at 200-300° C. in an oxidizing atmosphere, wherein a fiber bundle is caused to travel so as to sequentially pass between an nth roller and an (n+1)th roller (n being an integer of at least 1 and no more than [m−1]) in a roller group formed from m (m being an integer of 3 or greater) contiguously set rollers, the roller axes of the m continuously set rollers being parallel to each other and perpendicular to the direction of travel of the fiber bundle, the roller diameter being 5-30 mm, and the specific gravity of the fiber bundle being 1.20-1.50.
Methods of Generating Highly-Crystalline Recombinant Spider Silk Protein Fibers
Provided herein are scalable methods of processing wet-spun fiber comprising recombinant spider silk polypeptides to generate a three-dimensional crystalline lattice of beta-sheet structures in the fiber.
HEATHERED HELIX YARNS
A process is provided for the manufacture of an effect yarn, such as heathered helix yarns, for use in carpets, floorcoverings, and textile articles. The effect yarns contain patterned alternating sections of twisted multiple singles yarns and sections of entangled multiple singles yarns. More particularly, these effect yarns may comprise a plurality of S-direction twist sections, a plurality of Z-direction twist sections, and a plurality of non-twisted entangled sections interspersed between the S-direction twist sections and the Z-direction twist sections.
POLYETHYLENE MULTIFILAMENT INTERLACED YARN AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In the present disclosure, there are provided a polyethylene multifilament interlaced yarn having excellent weavability as well as enabling the manufacture of a protective product having high cut resistance and excellent fit by giving sufficient entanglements to the polyethylene multifilament yarn, and a method for manufacturing the same.
ON-LINE DRYING OF HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANES
The present invention relates to a continuous process for preparing permselective hollow fiber membranes being suitable e.g. for hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and hemofiltration of blood which comprises a two-stage drying and tempering treatment of the hollow fiber membranes. According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a continuous process for drying permselective hollow fiber membranes on-line. The invention also relates to devices for on-line drying of permselective hollow fiber membranes.
POLYAMIDE HOLLOW FIBER FOR ARTIFICIAL HAIR, HEAD ACCESSORY INCLUDING SAME, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYAMIDE HOLLOW FIBER FOR ARTIFICIAL HAIR
Provided are an artificial hair fiber having a soft texture and appearance close to human hair, and being light in weight; and a head accessory including the artificial hair fiber. A polyamide fiber for artificial hair includes a resin composition that includes a polyamide resin as a primary component resin, and is a hollow fiber having a void in the cross-sectional center section, the void percentage of the polyamide fiber is 15-40%, the fiber specific gravity of the polyamide fiber is 0.80-1.10, and the bend rigidity of the polyamide fiber is 1.5×10.sup.−3 to 5.5×10.sup.−3 gf.Math.cm.sup.2/yarn.

According to a further aspect, the invention relates to a continuous process for drying permselective hollow fiber membranes on-line. The invention also relates to devices for on-line drying of permselective hollow fiber membranes.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ELECTRONIC TEXTILES EMPLOYING SILVER NANOWIRE COMPOSITE SENSORS AND RELATED METHODS
Multi-functional electronic textiles employing nanocomposite pattern elements and related methods are provided. An exemplary method for producing a textile product with an integrated electrical device includes applying conductive nanowires to a substrate to form a conductive nanowire network on the substrate and applying a thermoplastic elastomer to the nanowire network to form a nanocomposite layer on top of the substrate. The method also includes cutting the nanocomposite layer into a desired pattern to form an electrical device and transferring the electrical device from the substrate onto a textile fabric.
