DEVICE FOR BLOCKING A SHOE FOR A SYSTEM FOR REHABILITATING THE WALK, EXOSKELETON AND SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH DEVICE
A device is described, for blocking a shoe for an exoskeleton of a system for rehabilitating the walk comprising a structure designed to externally wrap the heel of a patient, allowing the contact between the sole of the shoe and the ground, the structure comprising a rear element connectable to a bearing and moving structure of a foot; a band assembly connected to the structure to strap up and tighten the shoe of the patient in order to make it integral with the device; an exoskeleton and a system comprising such device are further described.
Standing frame for users with standing challenges and method
A standing frame to assist a user with stand challenges in standing, comprising a base assembly that accommodates the user's feet; a stand assembly supported by the base assembly; a handlebar assembly supported by the stand assembly and configured to receive one or more of a user's hands and arms to rest thereon; a securement assembly coupled to the stand assembly to secure the user to the standing frame; and a knee support assembly configured to receive the user's knees to rest thereon.
PATIENT LIFT AND SLING HAVING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
A person lift system includes a motor and a sling bar coupled to the motor. The sling bar includes a first attachment hook at a first end region of the sling bar and a second attachment hook at a second end region of the sling bar. A sling includes a main body section and a plurality of loops coupled to the main body section. Each of the plurality of loops is configured to attach to one of the plurality of attachment hooks. A first electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the first attachment hook. A second electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the second attachment hook. Each of a plurality of short range wireless tags is coupled to a respective one of the plurality of loops.
Transfer board
A transfer board for assisting in moving a wheelchair bound person from a wheelchair to a bed or similar support includes a flat elongated lightweight board with a smooth upper surface. The board is comprised of two sections; one being narrower than the other so that it can fit onto the seat of a wheelchair. A pair of rigid handles extend upwardly from the sides of the wider section of the board so that a person sitting on the board can grasp the handles and push downwardly on them in order to move his or her body across the board. The ends of the board are inclined downwardly to assist a person in sliding onto and off of the board while the underside of the board includes a nonslip surface.
SEAT FOR A STAIR LIFT
A seat for a stair lift includes a horizontal seat, a vertical back rest, and two arm rests. Each arm rest is connected to the seat by a support bracket, and each arm rest is pivotable between folded-down and a folded-up positions. The arm rest is pivotably connected about a pivot axis to the support bracket and to a carrying beam having upper and lower sides. The upper side supports an arm of the sitting person. The arm rest is designed such that lower and upper tangents of the carrying beam extend at the same side of the pivot axis. The lower tangent is at a radial distance from the pivot axis, such that in the folded-up position the carrying beam extends from the vertical plane through the pivot axis in the vertical space behind the vertical plane towards and beyond the back side edge of the seat part.
RIDE VEHICLE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A passenger transfer system in accordance with present embodiments includes a mobile chair having a base portion with a plurality of wheels and a chair portion configured to support a passenger. The passenger transfer system further includes an elevation adjustment system and a transfer device. The elevation adjustment system is configured to adjust a height of the chair portion relative to the base portion. The transfer device is configured to extend laterally from an edge of the chair portion. The transfer device is further configured to support the passenger as the passenger transfers from the chair portion to a ride seat of a ride vehicle of an attraction of an amusement park.
STAIR LIFT DEVICE
A stair lift device laid upon a staircase can support upward and downward movement of a platform of the device along stairs of the staircase. The device has two side supports in at least partial contact with the stairs of the staircase for supporting movement of the platform, and each side support can include a rail of the device along which the platform moves.
PRONE-TO-SUPINE TRANSFER MATTRESS
A mattress includes an inflatable pair of first panels connected to each other and defining a first air pocket therebetween; and an inflatable pair of second panels connected to each other and defining a second air pocket therebetween, wherein the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels are operatively connected to each other defining an inflatable tube containing a space to accommodate a user between the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels, and wherein the inflatable tube is rotatable upon inflation of the pair of first panels and the pair of second panels and rotation of the tube.
Medical Procedure Facilitation System
A medical lift-assistance device includes a bracket, a variable assist mechanism, a lifting arm, and a pad sub-assembly. The variable assist mechanism has a strut attached to the bracket and a height-adjustment feature including a lower end, an upper end, and an attachment location between the lower end and the upper end. Here, the distal end of the strut is attached to the height-adjustment feature at the attachment location. The variable assist mechanism also includes a first gear, a first axle, a first rotational axis extending along the first axle, and a first rotational direction. The first gear is rotatably attached to the first axle. The variable assist mechanism also includes a second gear, a second axle, a second rotational axis extending along the second axle, and a second rotational direction. Here, the second gear is rotatably attached to the second axle and engages the first gear.
Linkage assemblies for person lifting apparatuses
A linkage assembly that connects a sling bar to a person lift apparatus includes a link body that connects to the person lift apparatus. The link body has a keyed slot extending therethrough. The keyed slot has a region of reduced dimension. An interlocking member connects to the sling bar. The interlocking member has an interlocking portion that is sized to be slidably received in the keyed slot. The interlocking portion has a region of reduced dimension such that, in an interlocked orientation, the region of reduced dimension of the interlocking portion is offset from the region of reduced dimension of the keyed slot thereby inhibiting removal of the interlocking member from the keyed slot and, in a release orientation, the region of reduced dimension of the interlocking portion is aligned with the region of reduced dimension of the keyed slot thereby allowing removal of the interlocking member from the keyed slot to disconnect the sling bar from the person lift apparatus.
