Lifting bracket
The present invention relates to a lifting bracket (1), in particular to a lifting bracket (1) for attaching to a mobility device such as a mobility scooter, power chair, or other electrically powered mobility device. The lifting bracket (1) comprises a main body (2) with a central portion and two side portions which extend away from the central portion. A connector (5), for connecting the body to a mobility device, is provided on a front edge (18) of the central portion of the body (2), and a mounting point (37) is provided at each end of the body (2) for attachment to a spreader bar. The body (2) is shaped such that each end of the body (2) is positioned forward of the front edge (18) of the central portion.
PATIENT LIFT AND SLING HAVING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
A person lift system includes a motor and a sling bar coupled to the motor. The sling bar includes a first attachment hook at a first end region of the sling bar and a second attachment hook at a second end region of the sling bar. A sling includes a main body section and a plurality of loops coupled to the main body section. Each of the plurality of loops is configured to attach to one of the plurality of attachment hooks. A first electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the first attachment hook. A second electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the second attachment hook. Each of a plurality of short range wireless tags is coupled to a respective one of the plurality of loops.
GAIT TRAINING VIA PERTURBATIONS PROVIDED BY BODY-WEIGHT SUPPORT SYSTEM
A body-weight support system that allows individuals with severe gait impairments to practice over-ground walking in a safe, controlled manner is disclosed. The system includes a body-weight support system that rides along a driven trolley and can be controlled in response to the movement of the subject using the system. They system is also configured to apply strong, yet brief perturbations to a subject as they are stationary or performing a dynamic task, such as walking, side stepping, etc., via the trolley of a body weight support system.
STATIONARY TYPE CARING LIFT
A stationary type caring lift includes a base plate arranged on a floor part at each of head and foot sides of a bed for a care receiver along each short-side side of the bed, four supports erected on the base plates in the vicinity of four corners of the bed, a pair of guide rails supported above the bed by the four supports and arranged in parallel along both long-side sides of the bed, a longitudinally moving body arranged between the guide rails and capable of being moved in a longitudinal direction of the bed while being guided by the guide rails, a slide rail attached movably, a laterally moving body attached movably in the lateral direction of the bed, and a lifting drive mechanism attached in the laterally moving body for hanging down the care receiver and having a worm reduction gear with a self-lock function.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR BODY WEIGHT SUPPORT SYSTEM
A body weight support system includes a trolley, a powered conductor operatively coupled to a power supply, and a patient attachment mechanism. The trolley can include a drive system, a control system, and a patient support system. The drive system is movably coupled to a support rail. At least a portion of the control system is physically and electrically coupled to the powered conductor. The patient support mechanism is at least temporarily coupled to the patient attachment mechanism. The control system can control at least a portion of the patient support mechanism based at least in part on a force applied to the patient attachment mechanism.
Private and Portable Lift and Changing Station
The current invention is a private and portable changing station conveniently folds to fit inside a small cart with wheels to pull along behind a wheelchair. The changing system for handicapped adults and children is complete with a collapsible table, a Hoyer lift and privacy curtain. All the components are compactly stored within the portable cart and can be quickly set up. The Hoyer lift and privacy curtain are set up on a tripod stand. The table is pulled apart so that the top becomes flat and all of the legs lock into place underneath the lift.
PATIENT REPOSITIONING APPARATUS
A patient handling system comprising a patient support apparatus having a patient support surface, a component, and a force generating device inducing movement or assisting in movement of the component, and a sheet for covering at least a portion of the patient support surface, and the sheet coupled to the component wherein when the force generating device is operated to induce movement or assist in movement of the component, the movement induces the sheet to move relative to the patient support surface.
Extendable safety handle for benches
The extendable safety handle for benches is a safety device. The extendable safety handle for benches is a mobility assistance device. The extendable safety handle for benches is configured for use with the bench. The extendable safety handle for benches attaches to the bench. The extendable safety handle for benches rotates between a collapsed position and a deployed position. The extendable safety handle for benches forms a mobility assistance device when deployed. The extendable safety handle for benches rotates and collapses into a collapsed position. The extendable safety handle for benches comprises a pedestal structure and a telescopic stanchion. The pedestal structure attaches the telescopic stanchion to the bench. The telescopic stanchion rotates relative to the pedestal structure. The telescopic stanchion rotates between the deployed position and the collapsed position.
PATIENT TURNING SYSTEM
A system for turning a patient supported on a patient support apparatus includes a U-shaped frame and a rectangular frame pivotably coupled to the U-shaped frame. The rectangular frame includes first and second sheet grippers configured to removeably couple a plurality of sheets to the system and secure the patient between the sheets. The rectangular frame, the sheets, and the patient are configured to rotate at least 180 degrees relative to the U-shaped frame after the U-shaped frame, the rectangular frame, the sheets, and the patient are raised at least a clearance distance above the patient support apparatus.
