The system can also include a flexible member removably attached to the second support member and the third support member. The system can also include a tensioning device mechanically coupled to at least the flexible member and configured to provide tension to the flexible member.
Human floor lift
A human lift apparatus is disclosed. In various embodiments, the lift apparatus includes a substantially vertical guide rail; a carriage positioned to be moved up and down along the guide rail; a drive mechanism coupled to the carriage and configured to move the carriage at a controlled rate along the guide rail; and a tiltable seat coupled mechanically to the carriage in a manner that allows the seat to tilt about a substantially transverse tilt axis that is substantially parallel to the floor and runs substantially across the seat at a depth that enables a human subject to be seated on the tiltable seat with the center of gravity of the human subject being between the tilt axis and a back end of the seat. The tiltable seat is tiltably mounted in a manner and location that allows the tiltable seat to tilt down, with a front edge of the seat lower than the back edge of the seat, as the center of gravity of the human subject is shifted to a position forward of the tilt axis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STABILIZING A PATIENT LIFT WITH A MEDICAL IMAGING TABLE
Systems and methods are provided for a patient table. The patient table may include a bed coupled to a base via a midsection and a docking bar coupled to the base. The docking bar may be movable between a first position, where a first longitudinal axis of the docking bar is parallel to a second longitudinal axis of the base, and a second position, where the first longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the second longitudinal axis. The docking bar may include a releasable bottom surface configured to be brought into contact with a base support of a patient lift.
Strap for sling and method for manufacturing such a strap and use of such strap
A strap is provided, intended for a sling for persons, where the strap is elongated with short end edges and longer lateral edges and comprises a first belt and a second belt. Each belt includes an inside and an outside, where the insides are turned towards one another, and the outsides are turned away from one another. The first belt and the second belt include warps and wefts. The strap has a longitudinal direction that is parallel to the warps, and a transverse direction that is parallel to the wefts. In the longitudinal direction of the strap there are a number of first sections, where the first belt and the second belt are interwoven, and second sections are provided between them, where the first belt and the second belt are not interwoven, so that an eye is formed in each of the second sections.
WIRELESSLY CONTROLLED WHEELCHAIR ASSEMBLY WITH TOILET ACCESSIBILITY
A wirelessly controlled wheelchair assembly and method of operating thereof is described. The wheelchair assembly comprises a wheel driving unit, a seat edge and footrest lifting unit, a back-rest lifting unit and a seat retracting unit. The wheelchair assembly further comprises a microcontroller electronically coupled with the wheel driving unit, the seat edge and footrest lifting unit, the back-rest lifting unit and the seat retracting unit. The microcontroller is configured to execute a plurality of commands to wirelessly control the operating of the wheelchair. The plurality of commands comprises commands for displacing the wheelchair from a source location to a destination location, lifting the user to slightly detach from the seat, opening the seat by retracting the one or more panels of the seat to enable accessibility of a toilet, move the user in the downward direction and reversing the above steps to restore the user in normal sitting posture.
GATES FOR OVERHEAD LIFTING RAILS
The present disclosure relates to a gate system for an overhead lifting rail system, comprising: a first gate comprising: a rail portion for supporting a lifting carriage; and a bridging element pivotally coupled adjacent a proximal end to the rail portion; and a second gate comprising: a rail portion for suspending a lifting carriage; and a bridging element support portion. Upon the first gate engaging with the second gate, a distal end of the bridging element of the first gate engages with the bridging element support portion of the second gate to form a bridge between the first gate and the second gate; and the distal end of the bridging element and the bridging element support portion are configured such that the ends of the bridging element are substantially aligned with the respective ends of the rail portions of the first and second gates.
Micro Lift-OAST Device
In one embodiment, a device includes the upper platform, the scissor assembly coupled to a linear motor and the bottom platform fixed to a part of the existing staircase, occupying slightly more than half the existing standard staircase step length (leaving the other half of the step for normal healthy users; when electrically actuated, the device lifts up/down safely mobility impaired senior in a slow, safe and steady manner. Each individual step is fixed with a micro liftOSAT device which raises the person to the next level. The person moves horizontally forward one step to the next step, which raises them to next level, so on and so forth.
Quarter turn track bracket (QTTB) for patient lifter ceiling track mechanism and methods thereof
It is often required in the medical industry to have devices, such as patient lifters, anchored to the ceiling. A system and method have been developed to resolve various challenges posed by installation of ceiling tracks intended to be used with patient lifters. The QTTB allows gaining in installation speed while increasing its inherent safety by the reduction of component hence the reduction of required human operations and verifications. The system comprises a bracket for supporting the track and a load, the bracket comprising a T-shaped member; and an attachment member affixed to the ceiling and adapted for receiving the bracket; the T-shaped member being adapted to rotate within the track from a first position to a second position, wherein, in the second position, the track is substantially unable to move along an axis of the attachment member. A tool may be used to rotate the bracket.
MULTI-FUNCTION PERSON HANDLING EQUIPMENT
A person handling apparatus includes a deck with a seat section, a leg section, and a back section. The back section is pivotally mounted to the seat section. The leg section has a proximal end pivotally mounted to the seat section and a cantilevered end spaced a first distance from its proximal end. The seat section, the leg section, and the back section are arranged to lie in a common plane when the deck is in a supine configuration to support a person in a supine position. First and second leg assemblies are pivotally mounted to the deck to move between (1) first deployed positions wherein the first and second leg assemblies are angled relative to the deck when the deck is in the supine configuration to support the deck in a raised composition and (2) second deployed positions when the deck is supported in the chair configuration.
Patient sling
The patient transfer acts as a combined sling and bed cover and includes a substantially rectangular sheet portion of a size to fit over a standard bed mattress and to which are attached a plurality of straps for coupling to a hoist. The patient transfer sheet is preferably made of a single-layered material which is breathable, strong and soft. The patient transfer sheet can act as a sling for transportation/repositioning of a patient as well as a replacement bed covering to replace conventional bed linen. The patient can thus be transported onto a bed without needing to remove the patient from the sling.
