A method of using a transfer system includes: supporting a first docking cone of the transfer system by a first support platform to orient a docking cone axis of the first docking cone with a vertical axis; inserting the first docking cone into a first docking cup of a transfer device of the transfer system; and locking the first docking cone within the first docking cup by a security mechanism of the transfer device, the security mechanism comprising a first security lever and a second security lever.
NURSING BED
This nursing bed has a fixed member forming a fixed bed surface of a bed portion on which a care receiver lies, a movable member which can be moved relative to the fixed member and forms a movable bed surface of the bed portion, and a movable member driving unit for driving the movable member. The fixed member has a plurality of slender parts each extending in the lateral direction or the longitudinal direction. The movable member has a mobile body which can be protruded upward relative to the fixed bed surface and also moved in at least one of the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction via an interval between the plurality of slender parts by the movable member driving unit. The posture of the care receiver lying on the bed can be changed into his/her optimal position without difficulty.
TRACK AND LIFT REHABILITATION SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
A system for physical rehabilitation is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of motors configured to be coupled to a ceiling, and a plurality of cable portions. Each cable portion is connected at a first end to a motor, among the plurality of motors, and connected at a second end to a connector element for attaching to a patient. The system also comprises a controller in operative communication with the plurality of motors to move the connector element in relation to a staircase. The controller is configured to adjust one or both of position and speed of the connector element based on tracked kinematics of the patient as the patient moves along the staircase.
Wheelchair lift-transfer device
An improved wheelchair lift-transfer device provides capabilities for a patient or caregiver to independently control the wheelchair and lift functions to elevate and move about safely. The compact lift-transfer device is readily usable to assist in transporting and lifting patients from various locations including wheelchairs, beds and chairs. The invention relates to a mobility scooter for individual mobility of a person, comprising a chassis, two front wheels aside the chassis and at least one rear wheel, a seat with a seat base and armrests for the person, a footrest on the chassis that extends between the seat and the front wheels, and an electronic controller assembly, wherein the mobility scooter has a driving mode and a boarding mode, wherein in the driving mode the seat base and the armrests are in the driving position, and wherein in the boarding mode the seat base or at least one of the armrests is in the boarding position, wherein the electronic controller is configured to steer the front wheels in the boarding mode into the sideward steering direction that is opposite to the side to which the seat base or the armrest is swung in the boarding position.

A lift device and method of operation thereof including two vertical extendible tower members supporting a horizontal extendible transverse member, a payload lifting device and a traveler carriage configured to translate the payload between the two vertical extendible tower members along the horizontal extendible transverse member, an omnidirectional wheel assembly, a navigation control system configured to provide navigation control to the lift device via the omnidirectional wheel assembly based on a navigation path, one of a proximity sensing system and a machine vision system configured to determine one of a presence of an obstacle or an absence of a previously detected obstacle relative to the navigation path, and a motion control system configured to provide a smooth motion control signal and a retract or expand signal to the respective members of the lift device.

A stretcher which comprises a bed, and a frame having first and second parallel frame members coupled to first and second lateral frame members is disclosed. A securement track is define by an upper surface of at least one of the first parallel frame member, the second parallel frame member, the first lateral frame member, and the second lateral frame member, the securement track having a plurality of alternating open regions and necked down regions along a length. A bed mount configured to both support the bed and be releasably secured in the securement track in a secure condition, and configured to be repositionable along the length of the securement track in an unsecured condition.

A pad may be removably mounted on the front wall.
