Kit for Selectively Constructing a Floor of a Packing Rack and a Horizontal Transfer Lift and a Method for Converting a Floor of a Packing Rack Into a Horizontal Transfer Lift
A kit for selectively constructing a floor of a packing rack and a horizontal transfer lift, and a method for converting a floor of a packing rack and a horizontal transfer lift. The kit includes a first rod, a second rod, a third rod, a fourth rod, a support base, a first beam, a second beam, a third beam, and a fourth beam, and a hooked motion unit.
SHOWER ROOM WITH A ROTATABLE CABINET
A shower room has a compartment, a rotatable cabinet rotatably mounted in an opening of the compartment, a seat mounted on the rotatable cabinet, and a shower device mounted in the compartment. When the rotatable cabinet is rotated to a using state, the opening of the compartment is closed by the rotatable cabinet and the seat is disposed inside the compartment. When the rotatable cabinet is rotated to a moving state, the seat is disposed outside the compartment. A user sitting on the seat can be rotated into an interior space of the compartment along with the rotatable cabinet to have a shower, or be rotated to an exterior of the compartment to leave the rotatable cabinet. Therefore, it is convenient for people with mobility problems to enter or leave the shower room by sitting on the seat and rotating in place.
Interfacing wheelchairs with other apparatuses
Devices described in this disclosure can be used to assist persons with limited mobility to transfer themselves from a wheelchair to another apparatus, and back again. For example, this document describes devices that persons with limited use of their legs can use to transfer themselves between a wheelchair and another apparatus, such as a handcycle, that has a seat at a lower elevation than the seat of the wheelchair.
Emergency patient motion system
A modular drive device for driving a first driven module of a first emergency patient motion device or a second driven module of a second emergency patient motion device, the first driven module being different from the second driven module. The modular drive device comprises a motor, and an output device operatively coupled to and drivable by the motor. The output device transmits mechanical force from the motor to the first driven module when said output device is coupled to the first emergency patient motion device and from the motor to the second driven module when said output device is coupled to the second emergency patient motion device. The modular drive device further comprises a controller operable in a first motor mode and a second motor mode. The first motor mode corresponding to the first driven module, and the second motor mode corresponding to the second driven module.
BED MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND METHOD
A bed mobility assistance device is disclosed herein. The bed mobility assistance device includes a circumferential hand grip configured to be graspable by the user, the circumferential hand grip including an elongated flexible strap having a frictional outer surface, a length sufficient to encircle a bed mattress, a two-part buckle configured to form a closed loop portion within the elongated flexible strap, the closed loop portion arrangeable circumferentially about the bed mattress, and a cinch configured to cinch the closed loop portion about the bed mattress to place the frictional outer surface of the elongated flexible strap in positions of contact with a top surface, a bottom surface, and a perimeter wall of the bed mattress. The bed mobility assistance device is useful for assisting a user self-adjust their body position on the bed mattress.
HANDBARROW FOR CARRYING PATIENTS
A retractable structure of a suspension rack of a handbarrow for carrying patients is disclosed herein. It mainly comprises a pedestal, two supporting rods disposed at one end of the pedestal for opening and closing, a main rod having a first end disposed at the other end of the pedestal and a second end, and a retractable structure of a suspension rack connected to the second end of the main rod and having a fixed tube, an active tube, a power source and a control assembly. The power source is disposed within the fixed tube and the active tube and driven to control extension and shrinkage of the active tube by the control assembly activated by a press button of the active tube.
System and method for off-loading of the body in the prone position and for patient turning and repositioning
The present invention relates to a system and method for support and off-loading. The system includes an inner bladder filled with a flowable composition. An outer bladder filled with a flowable composition is positioned adjacent to the inner bladder. The composition of the inner bladder has greater flow characteristics than the composition of the outer bladder. The inner bladder micro-contours to the received body part and the outer bladder macro-contours to the inner bladder after the inner bladder is micro-contoured to the received body part. Alternatively, the system provides a pair of ultra low pressure plenums and a positioner. The patient body size and size and corresponding surface area of the positioner control the amount of gas which is displaced evenly against the walls of the ultra low pressure plenums.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A SEATED PATIENT
An apparatus is configured for use with a chair having a supporting surface, and includes a bottom member having a cushioning member, the bottom member adapted to be placed above the supporting surface. The bottom member has a rear edge adapted to be placed proximate a rear of the chair and a front edge opposite the rear edge. The apparatus further includes a top member having a bottom surface positioned in confronting relation to the bottom member and a top surface opposite the bottom surface. The top member and the bottom member are connected to each other along at least one of the front and rear edges, and at least a portion of the top member is slidable with respect to the bottom member. The apparatus further includes a second cushioning member connected to a rear end of the apparatus and adapted to extend upward from the rear end.
Patient care and transport assembly
A versatile patient care and transport assembly having a patient support frame constructed of multiple sections, each including pluralities of individual patient sensors, and which can be cooperatively tilted or otherwise inter-articulated to a variety of support positions. Pull-out/expandable side and end railings are provided for patient safety. Power and drive components are incorporated into a base module upon which the patient support module is mounted in multiple elevatable and/or articulating fashion. Also provided is paired side-by-side docking of two identical assemblies such as for facilitate patient transfer and in order to drastically reduce the risks associated with handling of patients by caregivers.
WHEELCHAIR WITH INTEGRATED TRANSFER DEVICE
A wheelchair including a supporting frame and moving means configured to allow the movement of the wheelchair, the supporting frame having a seating area for a user of the wheelchair, the wheelchair including first actuation means configured to translate the seating area laterally and externally with respect to the supporting frame and, at least partially, with respect to the moving means, in a transfer configuration of the user, supporting means being operationally associated with the seating area, being able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to support the seating area with respect to the ground, the seating area being defined, in the transfer configuration, by a main seat and a secondary seat able to be activated in the transfer configuration of the seating area to increase the extension of the main seat.
