FLEXIBLE SECOND GAS BARRIER WITH IMPROVED FATIGUE STRENGTH AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A flexible second gas barrier for a liquefied gas storage tank which includes a stiffener fabric weaved with two or more kinds of fiber yarn selected from a group consisting of a glass fiber, a carbon fiber, an aramid fiber, and a synthetic fiber. The stiffener fabric is weaved so that a hybrid fiber yarn is made by 2-ply yarning two or more kinds of a single yarn or a twisted yarn of fiber yarn selected from a group consisting of a glass fiber, a carbon fiber, an aramid fiber, or a synthetic fiber, is included in the weft and/or warf so that repeated fatigue resistance, even under cryogenic conditions, is achieved, which ultimately has the effect of solving the problems associated with repeated load increase imposed on the second gas barrier as the thickness of LNGC Foam increases.
Fire resistant coating system and method
Embodiments of a leno weave mesh of the present invention generally include a plurality of high-temperature weft yarns, high-temperature warp yarns, and low melting point warp yarns; wherein each low melting point warp yarn is intertwined with a high-temperature warp yarn, each intertwined pair of warp yarns is positioned such that the low melting point warp yarn and high-temperature warp yarn are disposed alternatingly on either side of the woven mesh at intersections of the weft and warp yarns, and the woven mesh is heated whereby the surfaces of the low melting point warp yarns adhere to the surface of the high-temperature warp yarns and said high-temperature weft yarns at contact points there between. An intumescent coating system employing embodiments of the mesh, and a method of providing thermal protection to a substrate utilizing the intumescent coating system, are also provided.
SHEET MATERIAL FOR ROOFING WITH WATER-BASED ADHESIVE BACK COATING
A sheet material for roofing to be installed on a roof under an overlayment comprising a closed-weave woven having a top side and a back side; a thermoplastic layer affixed on the top side; and a water-based adhesive coating affixed on the back side. The sheet material is manufactured as a roll in which the thermoplastic layer isolates the water-based adhesive coating from an immediate environment when the sheet material is in a roll form.
Fabric Material That is Resistant to Molten Metals
Fabrics and garments are disclosed that have dual protection against molten metal splashes and electrical arc flashes. The fabrics can be made from spun yarns containing an intimate blend of fibers. The fibers contained in each yarn can include wool fibers, flame resistant cellulose fibers, and nylon fibers. In one aspect, relatively long wool fibers are incorporated into the yarns.
Flexible translucent to transparent fireproof composite material
A fireproof, translucent, flexible coated fabric composite material for use in fire curtains. The composite material meets or exceeds regulatory requirements in terms of fire endurance and allows transmissivity of necessary amounts of light. The process of the present disclosure combines a silica fabric with a special refractory index controlled resin. This unique combination of materials can transform an opaque high temperature fabric into a translucent, and even transparent, composite which as the ability to resist high temperature, flame and smoke penetration that fills a needed gap in technology between visibility and fire resistance in the field of fire and smoke curtains used in civil construction.
Fireproof fabric and protective suit, in particular for motor sports, made of said fabric
Fireproof fabric comprising a set of warp threads (C1, . . . C6) and a set of weft threads, wherein said warp threads (C1, . . . C6) are arranged on a plurality of warp levels (A, B, C); all said warp levels are bound together by at least one weft thread (T5) acting as a binding thread and arranged so as to prevent relative slipping of said levels, and at least one of the set of weft threads and the set of warp threads is formed by elasticized threads, comprising a core of elastically deformable material lined with a fireproof material.
FABRIC AND FIBER PRODUCT
In order to provide a fabric and a fiber product, which have hygroscopicity and durability as well as flame retardancy, a hydrophilizing agent is added to a fabric containing aramid fibers.
FABRIC CONTAINING PBI-p FIBER
A fabric for a thermal protective application includes: 5-40 weight % PBI-p fiber and the balance being conventional fibers, where the fabric has equal or better flame-resistant and/or heat-resistant properties, and a fabric weight less than an equivalent fabric made with a like amount of PBI-s fiber in place of the PBI-p fibers. The fabric for a thermal protective application includes: 5-40 weight % of a blend of PBI-p fiber and PBI-s fiber, and the balance being conventional fibers, where the fabric has equal or better flame-resistant and/or heat-resistant properties and a fabric weight less than an equivalent fabric made with a like amount of PBI-s fiber in place of the PBI-p fibers.
LIMITED CONDUCTION HEAT RETAINING MATERIALS
Embodiments relate to an article of clothing that includes a base material with a moisture vapor transfer rate (MVTR) of at least 2000 g/m.sup.2/24 h (JIS 1099 A1). The article of clothing may further include a foam-based spacer material coupled to the first side of the base material. The foam-based spacer material may be positioned between the base material and a wearer of the article of clothing when the article of clothing is worn. The foam-based spacer material may be an array of discrete elements coupled with the base material. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
CLOTH HAVING GAS SHEET
In one aspect, there is provided a fabric containing gas therein, the fabric comprising a weave between warps and wefts, wherein each warp includes an elongate array of a plurality of individual gas cells, wherein neighboring gas cells are physically coupled to each other via a connection, wherein the connection is monolithic with the gas cells, and each cell contains the gas therein.
