A fabric comprising micro-magnets, micro-coils of conductive material within an electric-insulating coating and an array of switches for selectively switching micro-coils on and off, such that relative movement of the micro-coils with respect to a local magnet field generates signals that are transmittable to a receiver, and signals received can switch coils on to detect relative movement of the coil with respect to nearby magnets to create tension and compression within the fabric.

Bulk metallic glass sheets and parts made therefrom

Bulk metallic glass sheets and parts fabricated from individual bulk metallic glass fibers and tows are provided. Bulk metallic glass fibers and tows are used to prepare complex weave designs having desired thickness and fiber orientation for a particular use of a BMG feedstock. Appropriately designed bulk metallic glass weaves can be thermoplastically heated to form sheets and feedstock for parts having desired wall thickness and area coverage.

The system can collect a user's biometric data, which may be transmitted to the user, a physician in charge of the user, or a third-party. Moreover, the biometric data may be incorporated into a machine learning model that can be used to further program the controller.

ELECTRONIC NET FOR SECURITY DURING TRANSPORTATION AND WEAVING METHOD THEREFOR
20210120382 · 2021-04-22 ·

The present invention provides an electronic net for security during transportation, whereas the net body of electronic net is knitted with a braided wire which has a conductive wire inside, or even it is formed by multiple subnets and the conductive wires between subnets are connected in series. Both metal ends of conductive wire of the net body are connected to electronic lock. If the conductive wire in the braided wire is disconnected due to the damage of net body, the electronic lock rapidly detect the error. Even though the disconnected conductive wire is reconnected again, the error record in the electronic lock cannot be eliminated. Therefore, once the goods finish the X-ray security check, it is covered with the electronic net and locked to the bottom plate with fixing belt, and then identify it with the strap before transportation. And the staff needs to check the electronic lock if there is any error signal and observe the identifiers of the straps if they are consistent with the record and damaged or not As above to complete the inspection of the security problems in transportation. The process is simple and reduces the security loopholes caused by negligence.

An item such as a fabric-based item may have a layer of fabric such as a layer of woven fabric. The fabric layer may include warp and weft strands. The fabric may cover keys in a keyboard or may be used in forming other structures in the fabric-based item. Each key may have an illuminated key label. Portions of the fabric may be processed by pressing heated protrusions on a textured mold into polymer optical fibers in the fabric. The protrusions form corresponding light-scattering recesses in cladding portions of the optical fibers. Light-emitting diodes or other light sources may be coupled to respective end surfaces of the optical fibers. The light-emitting diodes emit light that is emitted from the thermally imprinted light-emitting regions formed by pressing the heated protrusions into the optical fibers.
