INTEGRALLY WOVEN MANIFOLDS AND METHODS FOR FORMING
An integrally woven manifold is disclosed including a primary portion having a primary lumen disposed therein, a secondary portion branching off the primary portion, the secondary portion having a secondary lumen disposed therein in fluid communication with the primary lumen, and a first transitional portion connecting the primary portion to the secondary portion, the first transitional portion having a first aperture through which the secondary lumen fluidly communicates with the primary lumen. The primary portion has a first weave pattern, the secondary portion has at least a second weave pattern, and the first transitional portion is free of punctures, cuts, and bursts. A method for forming the integrally woven manifold is disclosed including continuously interlacing warp and weft to form the primary portion, intermittently interlacing the warp and the weft to form the secondary portion, and disengaging and reengaging the warp and the weft to form the first transitional portion.
Woven multi-layer fabrics and methods of fabricating same
A multi-layer ballistic woven fabric, including an upper woven layer having upper warp yarns and upper weft yarns that are interwoven together to form the upper woven layer. The multi-layer ballistic woven fabric also includes a lower woven layer having lower warp yarns and lower weft yarns that are interwoven together, and a plurality of securing yarns, each securing yarn interwoven with at least some of the upper yarns and some of the lower yarns so as to secure the upper and lower woven layers together. At least one of the securing yarns is woven underneath a first lower weft yarn, then above a second upper weft yarn adjacent the first lower weft yarn, then underneath a third lower weft yarn adjacent the second upper weft yarn and then above a fourth upper weft yarn adjacent the third lower weft yarn. The multi-layer ballistic woven fabric is formed by interweaving the securing yarns with the warp yarns and weft yarns as the upper woven layer and lower woven layer are made.
NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH IMPROVED SHEAR BAND
A shear band and a non-pneumatic tire is described which includes a ground contacting annular tread portion; a shear band, and a connecting web positioned between a hub and the shear band. The shear band is preferably comprised of a three-dimensional spacer fabric having a first and second layer connected by connecting members. The three-dimensional spacer fabric has a defined depth. The first and second layer of fabric of the three-dimensional spacer structure are reinforced with a respective first and second layer of non-crimped fabric, eliminating the need for a rubber shear layer and reinforcement layers commonly used for the shear band.
ENERGY ABSORBER, METHOD FOR WEAVING ENERGY ABSORBER, AND WEAVING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of weaving, and provides an energy absorber, a method for weaving the energy absorber, and a weaving device. The energy absorber includes a first split section, a first single strand section, a second split section, a second single strand section, and a third split section which are connected in sequence, the first split section and the third split section each include at least two sub-woven belts, the at least two sub-woven belts are separated from each other, at least one of the at least two sub-woven belts is capable of being stretched and contracted under an action of an external force, the first split section, the first single strand section, the second split section, the second single strand section, and the third split section are integrally woven.
BELT WEBBING FOR SAFETY BELT DEVICE AND SAFETY BELT DEVICE
A belt webbing for a safety belt device of a motor vehicle, the belt webbing being wider in a first section than in a second section relative to its longitudinal direction.
WOVEN FABRIC, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DESIGN WOVEN FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INTERIOR MATERIAL
A woven fabric includes a first constituent yarn having an optical fiber yarn and a non-light guiding yarn and a second constituent yarn having a non-light guiding yarn. The woven fabric has a first region in which the first and second constituent yarns are woven in one layer and a second region which is positioned adjacent to the first region and in which the first and second constituent yarns and are woven in two or more separable layers. The woven fabric has an optical fiber layer and a back protecting layer as the separable layers. The optical fiber layer is a layer formed of the optical fiber yarns. The back protecting layer is a layer in which the non-light guiding yarn of the first constituent yarn and the non-light guiding yarn of the second constituent yarn are woven. Further, the woven fabric can further comprise a front protecting layer.
Evacuation slide having drop stitch inflatable structure
An evacuation slide may comprise a first side rail, a second side rail, and a sliding structure. The first side rail and the second side rail may each extend from a head end of the evacuation slide to a toe end of the evacuation slide. The sliding structure may be located between the first side rail and the second side rail. The sliding structure may comprise a drop stitch fabric.
One-piece woven airbag with integrally woven indicia
An airbag and a method for manufacturing the airbag. The airbag is manufactured by weaving yarns to form a one-piece woven (OPW) airbag having inflatable portions and non-inflatable portions. The non-inflatable portions are woven with varying weave patterns so as to form recesses in the surface of the airbag in the form of an indicia.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL REINFORCED MEMBRANE
A three-dimensional reinforced membrane is designed to be inflated and used in various structural applications. A dropstitch or double wall fabric may be reinforced with one or more coatings, such as urethane-based coatings, and may also be laminated in accordance with various disclosed embodiments.
SHEAR BAND AND NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE
A shear band and a non-pneumatic tire is described which includes a ground contacting annular tread portion; a shear band, and a connecting web positioned between a hub and the shear band. The shear band is preferably comprised of a three-dimensional spacer fabric having a first and second layer connected by connecting members. The three-dimensional spacer fabric has a defined depth. The three-dimensional spacer structure further includes a plurality of cells formed between the connecting members, and wherein one or more of the cells are filled with a filler material. The filler material may be foam or a thermoplastic elastomer.
