APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR LIFTING, MOVING, TURNING, AND POSITIONING A PATIENT
A patient support device includes a sheet configured to be placed beneath the patient in use and a plurality of straps connected to the sheet and configured for use in moving, lifting, turning, and/or positioning the patient. The straps may include one or more retractable straps that each have a stretchable retraction strap connected thereto and configured for retracting the retractable strap. The straps may also include one or more central support straps connected to the sheet in an area positioned between the legs of the patient. The sheet may also include a head support for supporting the patient's head, which head support may also include one or more straps. The straps may be connected to a hoist, which is then used to lift the patient.
Support harnesses, systems, and kits for lifting and/or rotating a subject using an overhead lift
Support harnesses and systems and kits including the same are disclosed. A support harness includes a plurality of straps arranged such that a first strap, a second strap, and a third strap are spaced apart from one another, and the third strap extends between the first strap and the second strap. The support harness further includes a first connection piece extending between a proximal end of the first strap and a proximal end of the third strap and a second connection piece extending between a proximal end of the second strap and the proximal end of the third strap. The first strap, the second strap, and the third strap are each positionable around a horizontally positioned subject by wrapping the respective distal ends around a body part of the horizontally positioned subject and coupling the distal ends to the respective portions.

Device for converting a bed, in particular a care bed, sick bed, hospital bed, or intensive-care bed, from a horizontal position into an inclined position with respect to the logitudinal sides of the bed
A configuration for moving a bed, in particular a care bed, sick bed, or intensive-care bed, from a horizontal position into an inclined position with respect to the longitudinal sides of the bed. A receiving device for receiving the bed and a stand device for ensuring a stable stand of the configuration are operatively connected via an adjusting mechanism which inclines the receiving device relative to the stand device. The verticalization process is decoupled from the respective existing bed and thus allows a large degree of flexibility for care personnel during a routine therapy session, allowing a safe and comfortable therapy for a patient confined to a bed. The configuration according to the invention is suitable for both a new installation as well as for retrofitting medical and/or care device equipment and advantageously saves on the otherwise necessary expenditures on beds with their own verticalization mechanism.
Lift control systems for lifting devices and lifting devices comprising the same
According to embodiments, a method for operating a lifting device monitoring with a control unit, monitoring current supplied to the lift actuator when the lift actuator is actuated; discontinuing the current supplied to the lift actuator when the current exceeds a current threshold value; determining an accumulated number of overload stops based on the current supplied to the lift actuator; determining at least one operating characteristic of the lifting device and an operating time of the lifting device as the lifting device is actuated; determining an accumulated load-time parameter for the lifting device based on the at least one operating characteristic and the operating time; and uploading, with a transceiver, at least one of the accumulated number of overload stops and the accumulated load-time parameter to at least one of the computer, the network, and the data storage device.
LIFT CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR LIFTING DEVICES AND LIFTING DEVICES COMPRISING THE SAME
