Support apparatus with double roller assembly
A support apparatus (e.g., stretcher, back board, etc.) with double roller assembly. The apparatus includes a main frame, a first housing containing at least one wheel (e.g., gear, pulley, sprocket, roller) around which a first sheet and/or a second sheet is coiled. The opposite ends of the sheets are coupled to vertically- and horizontally-displaced lead and trail rollers in the double roller assembly, one sheet for each roller. The apparatus further includes a second housing containing at least one wheel around which a chain or belt is disposed. One or both ends of the chain/belt is coupled to the double roller assembly. In operation, a patient is positioned within the main frame, and the sheets extend underneath the patient. The belt/chain mechanism can also help urge extension of the sheets. When the sheets are fully extended underneath the patient, the patient is fully supported and can be transported.
Patient Transport Apparatus
A patient transfer apparatus includes a seat assembly, a track assembly coupled to the seat assembly and including a track configured to engage the stairs in a stair traversing position, and front wheels coupled to the seat assembly for engagement with a floor in a transport position. The seat assembly includes a frame and a seat for supporting a patient. A front end of the track assembly is adjacent the front wheels without interfering with movement of the wheels in the transport position.
PUMP APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes a pump having a filter. The filter includes a HEPA material configured for filtering air and the pump used to inflate an inflatable device configured to support a patient. A kit includes a pump configured for moving air to inflate an inflatable device, and a removable filter including a HEPA material couplable to the pump and configured to filter the air to inflate the inflatable device. The inflatable device configured to support a patient on a supporting surface.
Patient Lifting Assembly
A patient lifting assembly includes a first housing that is coupled to a vertical support surface to be positioned adjacent to a user's head when the user is lying in a bed. A first cable is retracted or extended outwardly from the first housing. A first handle is coupled to the first cable and the first handle can be gripped by a user to urge the user toward the head of the bed. A second housing is coupled to a vertical support surface to be positioned adjacent to a user's feet when the user is lying in the bed. A second cable is retracted or extended outwardly from the second housing. A second handle is coupled to the second cable and the second handle can be gripped by a user to urge the user into an upright, seated position.
HOSPITAL BED LIFT ASSEMBLY
A hospital bed lift assembly for transferring a user into and out of a bed includes a cart that is rollable along a support surface and is positionable adjacent to a bed for sleeping. A control circuit is coupled to the cart, a lift is coupled to the cart and the lift is electrically coupled to the control circuit. A chair is pivotally coupled to the lift for lifting a user when the user sits in the chair. In this way the user can drop downwardly onto the bed when the user is transferred into the bed. A pair of members is each pivotally coupled to the cart. Each of the members extends forwardly from the cart to inhibit the user from tipping the cart forwardly when the user is lifted in the chair.
Lift System with a Stowable Support Assembly
A lift system includes a hoist module, a support assembly which is movable relative to the hoist module, and a control system. The control system is adapted to enable a user to a) issue an operational command which causes the support assembly to move to an operational destination, and b) issue a stowage command which causes the support assembly to move to a stowage destination. The control system is also adapted to A) disregard the stowage command provided at least one condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command Equivalently, the control system adaptation is to A1) disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage contraindication condition is satisfied or A2) not disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage noncontraindication condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command.
Patient transfer apparatus
A patient transfer apparatus includes a seat assembly, a track assembly coupled to the seat assembly and including a track configured to engage the stairs in a stair traversing position, and front wheels coupled to the seat assembly for engagement with a floor in a transport position. The seat assembly includes a frame and a seat for supporting a patient. A front end of the track assembly is adjacent the front wheels without interfering with movement of the wheels in the transport position.
Sitting motion assist system, control method for controller of sitting motion assist system, recording medium, care belt, and robot
A sitting motion assist system for assisting a sitting motion of a patient changing their posture from a standing posture to a sitting posture includes a care belt, a knee-bending adviser, and a pulling mechanism. The care belt can be put on the patient and includes a hold mechanism including a first holder capable of holding the neck or shoulder of the patient and a second holder capable of holding their lower back, and a coupler capable of being positioned on their chest and coupled to the hold mechanism. The knee-bending adviser advises the patient to perform a knee-bending motion. The pulling mechanism is coupled to the hold mechanism via the coupler and pulls the care belt downward and slightly forward relative to the patient after the advice by the knee-bending adviser, and thereafter pushes the care belt downward and slightly backward to assist the sitting motion.
SPLIT DRUM FOR LIFT STRAP IN CEILING STRAP
A patient lift system includes a lift housing, a base lift strap having a first end coupled to a lift housing and a second end coupled to a sling bar. The base lift strap is infection controlled. In one embodiment, a protective sleeve covers the base lift strap, wherein the protective sleeve has a first end and a second end. In another embodiment, the base lift strap is chemically treated to provide infection control.
Apparatus for securing a patient in the Trendelenburg position during surgery
The apparatus of the present invention provides an apparatus for moving a patient on a pad and holding the pad in place on the surgical table. The disposable pad works in conjunction with the reusable patient lifting/moving base, allowing nurses to more readily and easily move patients on the table in order to facilitate surgical positioning. In another embodiment, the entire apparatus may be disposable. A pressure sensitive adhesive may hold the pad in place and prevent slippage between the pad and the top of the surgical table.
