SECTION PROCEDURE TRACKING SYSTEM AND SECTION PROCEDURE TRACKING SYSTEM METHOD

A section procedure tracking method comprises following steps: storing a plurality of process objects from a plurality of machines; calculating a plurality of basic process values according to a tension information, a length information, a speed information and a timing information of the process objects in a basic sequence; calculating an average basic value according to the basic process values; calculating a plurality of extra process values according to the tension information, the length information, the speed information and the timing information of the process objects in an extra sequence; calculating an average extra value according to the extra process values; selecting one of the average basic value and the average extra value having the smaller value; and selecting a search path corresponding to the smaller one of the average basic value and the average extra value as a process search order.

Yarn take-up system for weaving and a method of weaving a reinforcing fiber structure for composite material parts

Woven preform, composite, and method of making thereof

A three dimensional woven preform, a fiber reinforced composite incorporating the preform, and methods of making thereof are disclosed. The woven preform includes one or more layers of a warp steered fabric. A portion of the warp steered fabric is compressed into a mold to form an upstanding leg. The preform includes the upstanding leg and a joggle in a body portion. The body portion and upstanding leg are integrally woven so there is continuous fiber across the preform. A portion of the warp steered fabric includes stretch broken carbon fibers in the warp direction, and another portion includes conventional carbon fibers. The warp steered fabric can be woven on a loom equipped with a differential take-up mechanism. The warp steered fabric can be a single or multilayer fabric. The preform or the composite can be a portion of an aircraft window frame.

Woven band with different stretch regions

A wearable band includes a woven material having two or more stretch regions. The different stretch regions can be formed by varying the tension on subsets of the warp threads, the weft threads, or both the warp and weft threads. A system for producing the woven material can include two or more tension control devices operably connected to a processing device. Each tension control device is configured to adjust the amount of tension in a respective subset of threads (e.g., warp threads) in the woven material during a weaving operation. The processing device is configured to select thread tension patterns for the subsets of threads used during the weaving operation. Each thread tension pattern includes tension settings for the subsets of threads, where at least one tension setting in one thread tension pattern differs from the tension settings in the other tension patterns.
