Reed and Method for Producing Same
The invention relates to a reed (15) and to a method for producing the same. The reed (15) has a multiplicity of dents (16), which are arranged in a width direction (B), forming interspaces (25) each having a dent spacing (x). Each dent (16) has two opposite end sections (19), at which the dents are respectively connected to a carrier (27) and to the immediately adjacent dent or dents (16) by an adhesive connection. In at least one or both end sections (19), the dent (16) has a plurality of a spacer studs (30), which are preferably produced by embossing. The spacer studs (30) form a depression one, first side (S1) and, on the opposite, second side (S2), form a projection having a stud outer surface (F). The sum of all the stud outer surfaces (F) of the spacer studs (30) of a single end (19) of a dent (16) has a proportion of at most 15% or at most 10% or at most 8% on the total end section surface on this second side (S2).
Woven prosthesis and method for manufacturing the same
A woven prosthesis, such as a woven vascular graft, woven from warp and weft yarns. Velour warp yarns forming the prosthesis are selectively incorporated into a base layer of the prosthesis so as to provide a bulbous section without compromising the porosity of the prosthesis.

In or relating to air-bags
A method of weaving fabric for use in the manufacture of a vehicle air-bag includes: providing a weaving reed having a plurality of adjacent cells; introducing regular warp yarns into at least some of the cells; introducing an additional warp yarn into one of the cells that already includes a regular warp yarn; and carrying out a weaving process. In the weaving process, weft yarns are interwoven with the regular warp yarns and the additional warp yarn. The regular warp yarns each remain within one cell throughout the weaving process. The additional warp yarn is moved from a first cell to a second cell during the weaving process.

WEAVING MACHINE AND CORRESPONDING WEAVING METHOD
This weaving machine (2) comprises a structure (4) able to support a plurality of warp threads (16) extending in a first direction, a heddles mechanism (18) capable of selectively moving at least some of the plurality of warp threads (16) to form first and second sheets (28, 30) of warp threads, and at least one weft-thread feed spool (38). The weaving machine (2) also includes at least one support shuttle (44) for said feed spool and an actuating device (32) able to control a movement of said shuttle (44) between the first and second sheets (28, 30) of warp threads in at least one second direction transverse to the first direction, in both senses relative to said second direction, to continuously lay the weft thread (43) coming from the feed spool (38) between said sheets (28, 30) and in said second direction.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHOD FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL SURFACE WEAVING
The present application relates to systems, devices and methods for three-dimensional surface weaving. The system comprises a jacquard device, a weaving device and a roller matrix. The jacquard device configured to selectively raise or lower the wrap threads to form a shed for the weft thread to travel; the weaving device configured to carry the weft thread into the shed and weave the weft thread on the wrap threads; and the roller matrix with individually controlled rotate apparatus configured to control the wrap threads to move forward or backward. The wrap threads come from rotate apparatus installed on the roller matrix. The rotate apparatus is controlled individually to forward or reverse rotate, so that the attached wrap thread is able to be longer or shorter. As the wrap threads can be shortened during weaving process, the three-dimensional surface can be produced.

Reed comprising a multiplicity of slats
A reed (16) including multiple slats (20), which are arranged in a transverse direction (Q) at a distance from one another is disclosed. Each slat (20) extends from an upper end (21) to a lower end (22). The upper ends (21) are connected by an adhesive bond to two upper plate parts (32) of an upper holding shaft (23). The lower ends (22) of the slats (20) are connected by an adhesive bond to two lower plate parts (43) of a lower holding shaft (24). The plate parts (32, 43) are each produced from a fiber-reinforced composite material. The entire upper holding shaft (23) and the entire lower holding shaft (24) preferably are made of parts produced from a fiber-reinforced composite material.
