Article of apparel including thermoregulatory textile
A process of forming a textile and apparel formed utilizing the textile is disclosed. The textile includes a base layer and a spacer layer defined by a plurality of bosses extending from the base layer. In an embodiment, the bosses are oriented in a grid pattern, being spaced apart to define gaps for air circulation. Selected bosses are mechanically compressed and secured in the compressed state utilizing an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition may further include heat insulating or heat reflective particles. The resulting textile may be utilized to form articles of apparel, including garments such as shirts, pants, coats, and footwear.

An article of footwear includes a sole structure and an upper that is attached to the sole structure. The upper includes a knitted component with a compression member that is configured to apply compression to the wearer. The knitted component also includes a selection element that is configured for selecting and changing the amount of compression applied by the compression member. The selection element is spaced away from the sole structure. The selection element includes a first area and a second area. The first area is configured to move relative to the second area between an unsecured position and a secured position to change the amount of compression applied by the compression member. The first area is spaced away from the second area in the unsecured position, and the first area is attached to the second area in the secured position.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH UPPER INCORPORATING KNITTED COMPONENT PROVIDING VARIABLE COMPRESSION
An article of footwear includes a sole structure and an upper that is attached to the sole structure. The upper includes a knitted component with a compression member that is configured to apply compression to the wearer. The knitted component also includes a selection element that is configured for selecting and changing the amount of compression applied by the compression member. The selection element is spaced away from the sole structure. The selection element includes a first area and a second area. The first area is configured to move relative to the second area between an unsecured position and a secured position to change the amount of compression applied by the compression member. The first area is spaced away from the second area in the unsecured position, and the first area is attached to the second area in the secured position.
Engineered Knit With Multi-Density Knit Zone
A knitted element may include at least three zones. The first zone may include terry loop knitting. The second zone may include mesh knitting. The third zone may include jersey knitting. The knitted element may include at least one seamless transition between the first zone and the second zone, or between the first zone and the third zone so that terry loop knitting is continuous with either the mesh knitting or the jersey knitting. The first zone, the second zone, and the third zone may each include wool knitting. The terry loop knitting may be adapted to provide warmth in areas where it is needed, while the mesh knitting may be adapted to provide breathability in areas where it is needed. The jersey knitting may provide an intermediate level of warmth and breathability.
Footwear Article Including Circular Knit Structures
An aspect of the disclosure is a footwear article. The footwear article includes a double layer knitted upper having a foot bed, an upper portion continuous with the foot bed, an ankle opening, and an inner void for receiving a foot of a wearer. The double layer knitted upper has an outer knit layer defining an exterior surface of the double layer knitted upper. The double layer knitted upper also has an inner knit layer monolithically knit to the outer knit layer. The inner knit layer has a plurality of inner knit regions that spatially correspond to the plurality of outer knit regions of the outer knit layer. The outer knit layer and the inner knit layer substantially define the foot bed and the upper portion of the double layer knitted upper.

An aspect of the disclosure is a footwear article. The footwear article includes a double layer knitted upper having a foot bed, an upper portion continuous with the foot bed, an ankle opening, and an inner void for receiving a foot of a wearer. A method of making a deep pile fabric that closely resembles natural sheepskin fleece, that includes forming a plurality of straight fiber strands and a plurality of looped fiber strands and simultaneously knitting the straight fiber strands and the looped fiber strands and the scrim together, wherein the straight fiber strands and the looped fiber strands are knit on the scrim in rows, wherein each row includes alternatingly knitting one of the straight fiber strands and one of the looped fiber strands to the scrim.

A seamless postpartum garment is disclosed that is formed from a seamless double layer circular knit tube. The garment is flexible and stretchable throughout, and made from at least two different knit structures. Use of different knit structures at strategic locations on the garment, allow for it to provide compression and comfort at strategic locations on a woman's postpartum body.
